That said, vote Green or PSL if it’s feasible in your area. You don’t push Ds left by working inside their party, you do it by showing them how many votes they’re missing out on by sliding right. 3rd parties don’t have to win, they just have to show Ds there’s a viable left bloc

The best argument for voting D is that Ds ALWAYS position themselves as saviors when MAGA has power. Rs must be crushed so Ds can’t rely on fear tactics. U.S. imperialism won’t end w/o revolution, and working people will never turn to revolution if they think Ds are the answer.

That said, dems are in power right now. We have to show them we are willing to withhold our votes unless they do an arms embargo and force a ceasefire in Gaza. We must stand firm and draw a line of demarcation between us and our enemies, or they will continue to co-opt our mvmts

I’m re-reading “What is to be Done” and seeing some parallels between Lenin’s criticism of spontaneity (economism & terrorism) and the current argument that “at least people protested under Trump.” While true, most people protesting under Trump became resist libs, not communists.

Spontaneous protests are good but we shouldn’t confuse new waves of protest for genuine proletarian/socialist consciousness. We must agitate/educate/organize no matter who is in office, and it’s harder for dems to co-opt movements when they can’t blame republicans
