The British justice system is sickening.
🚩Roughly 98% of rapists walk free. Among us. No one does anything about it.
🚨But the victim that fought back? Full force of the law. 17 YEARS.
Brighton and Hove City Council v AB & Ors [2025] EWFC 443 (B) (12 November 2025): Fact-finding in care proceedings, concerning allegations of sexual and physical abuse made by mother's younger siblings against father. Allegations proved. https://t.co/zRxuLiOJHQ
TS v AS & Ors [2025] EWHC 3169 (Fam): Fact-finding in contact application by F under Art 21 Hague Convention, to determine M's allegations against the father of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and coercive and controlling behaviour. Allegations found proved. https://t.co/j9q9pLHA3Z
Trauma can change your window of tolerance - the range of emotional or physiological states where you can function effectively.
It’s a normal response to abnormal experiences, and it’s not a sign of weakness.
⭐️The Silent Side of Family Court — What Nobody Is Writing About
We hear a lot about how family courts “protect children” and how barring orders (Section 91(14)) are used to stop endless litigation.
But here is what almost no newspaper will publish — and what thousands of parents are living through in silence:
⭐ 1. Mothers receiving 2–3 barring orders in a row
Not because they are dangerous.
Not because they are abusive.
But because they keep trying to maintain a relationship with their child while the system decides their voice is inconvenient.
⭐ 2. Children losing years of contact because of a s.91(14) order
These orders can last 2–3 years.
During that time, children lose birthdays, holidays, milestones, and deep emotional bonds.
Childhood does not wait for the court system.
⭐ 3. Family courts ignoring emotional harm
A child can be scared, monitored, silenced, and losing confidence…
But unless there is physical harm, emotional damage is often dismissed as “conflict” instead of recognised as abuse.
⭐ 4. Resident parents using barring orders to gain total control
With one parent holding all power — communication, contact, schooling, medical decisions — the child’s world becomes one-sided.
A barring order can become a tool to erase the other parent entirely.
⭐ 5. CAFCASS errors that lead directly to barring orders
Reports written without speaking to all parties.
Missing safeguarding evidence.
Assumptions presented as fact.
Once these errors enter the system, they influence decisions for years.
⭐ 6. Judges rarely look back and acknowledge mistakes
Even when new information emerges…
Even when safeguarding concerns become clear…
Even when a child is suffering emotionally…
Family courts almost NEVER revisit their earlier conclusions.
There is no mechanism — and often no willingness — to correct past judgments that were based on incomplete or inaccurate information.
⭐ 7. Grandparents completely cut off
Entire loving families disappear from a child’s life because one parent chooses to isolate them — and the system allows it.
⭐ 8. The long-term psychological impact
Children learn to survive by suppressing their true feelings.
They lose confidence.
They depend on the controlling parent’s approval.
They internalise fear, guilt, and confusion.
⭐ 9. Children growing up believing they’re not allowed to love both parents
When contact is blocked, children learn that love is risky — that expressing affection for one parent will upset the other.
This is emotional imprisonment, not “stability.”
⭐ Why are there no articles about this?
Because these cases reveal systemic failure:
misuse of barring orders
lack of oversight
no accountability for errors
emotional harm ignored
protective parents silenced
judges unable or unwilling to revisit past conclusions
secrecy rules that hide the truth
This is why you cannot find these stories in newspapers.
But these stories are REAL.
Families are suffering behind closed doors, and children are paying the price.
It’s time for this silence to end.

@familylaw Good idea, but the way we assess abuse in the UK is appaling if it’s in cases of domestic abuse, spcial workers and psychologist would need a lot of training. Poland has excellent knowledge and success in it
People with CPTSD often have medically unexplained physical symptoms such as headaches, muscle pain and stomach problems.
Unfortunately, the link between physical symptoms and traumatizing events is not always clear to either the individual or the physician, at least for a while.
M v F & Ors [2025] EWFC 442 (B) (05 November 2025): Private law proceedings, in which the court had made findings of coercive and controlling behaviour against the father. Ordered that children live with mother and spend time with father. https://t.co/A5OdIy7uwZ
@thesilencedmum There is Dr Gabrielle Gregory in Worcester who has a pattern of minimising abuse and dismissing trauma in mothers, she also has contact centre - another one someone needs to look into
When a child’s language, culture, and national identity are gradually removed through state-supported processes, it is not “integration”. It is cultural erasure and coerced assimilation.
For a Polish child, this engages Article 30 of the UN Convention on the Rights of the
