Interesting, my parents thought me that friendship is all about been loyal and supportive. It was a paradox from what I saw in school. I was not a good friend the moment I sometimes refuse to share my personal stuff for personal reasons. So I learnt how to pick my friends.
I'm predominantly 85% Choleric & 15% Melancholic. My mom played a key role in reshaping me. NO 1, never to steal or covet anything from anyone, not all that glitters is gold, never accept cheap favours, they may be baits. Celebrate and be very happy with whatever you have.
Well, in subsequent posts, I will explain more about my upbringing. How my mother, father, siblings & school shaped core values out of me: Uprightness, Fairness, Independence, Fierceness & Trust in God (The helper of common men) Anyone that knows, Onole; will testify! ๐
The struggle continued with my favorite quote then, "no condition is permanent" which was a quote that never made me complain till today. All my challenges are bottledup in, "it's a chapter that must pass away". Friends call me specialbreed bcos of my way of life, strange, right?
Growing up in Ibadan and travelling to Kogi state for my secondary education, toughened me to always believe that the struggle has to be done by me without depending on anyone. Whatever favours I received, I saw it as God's blessing and shwd unreserved gratitude to the conveyer.
Don't blame me if I believe in God so much! Growing up for me and getting to this stage of my life is through great faith, sleepless nights and deep prayers. There were times, I wouldn't eat for 3 days just becos I had no food and I will never ask anyone for help but God.
