Comrade Ben Amadhila remains an inspiration to us. Every time you think you are having it tough, think about this generation. The sacrifices they made. The road they travelled. The difficulties they faced. May God bless them.

The Governor of the Khomas Region, Sam Nujoma, and Member of Parliament, Fenny Tutjavi, visited the University of Namibia (UNAM) Main Campus on Sunday, 8 June 2025 to assess the condition of the hostel facilities and gain firsthand insight into the concerns raised by students over planned evictions.
The visit comes after growing student opposition to eviction notices issued ahead of the universityโs exam period.
The Governor was welcomed by the Student Representative Council (SRC) and members of the Hostel Housing Committee, who conducted a guided tour of the affected accommodation blocks.
Joining the engagement was the President of the Namibia National Students Organisation (NANSO), Dorthea Nangolo and members of the Swapo Party Youth League Unam Division as a show of support to the disgruntled students within the hostels. Additionally, the visit allowed the officials to engage with students directly on their issues and seek solutions.
