This argument only works if you deliberately confuse sexual orientation with sexual activity. You know… what dumb people do?

A 12-year-old boy having a crush on a girl doesn’t mean he’s participating in “adult heterosexual sex,” and nobody asks who “groomed” him into being straight.

But let that same boy have a crush on another boy and suddenly they pretend that merely recognizing his orientation is inherently sexual and must have been implanted by an adult.

That’s the trick: they sexualize gay identity in a way you don’t sexualize straight identity, then accuse everyone else of sexualizing children.

Gay kids can exist for exactly the same reason straight kids can exist: orientation and sexual activity are not synonyms.

This “argument” is an equivocation wrapped in a straw man and finished with a baseless grooming accusation. Impressive efficiency.

The cashew is the only nut you never see in its shell. There is no bowl of cashews to crack at Christmas, no cashew in a mixed bag of monkey nuts. There is a reason, and it is written on the burned hands of the women who shell them.

The cashew does not grow like other nuts. It hangs from the bottom of a swollen fruit called the cashew apple, curled inside a hard shell. And that shell is loaded with a caustic oil, rich in a compound related to the same chemistry that makes poison ivy burn. Touch it and it blisters and burns the skin like acid. This is nature's very effective way of telling you to leave the nut alone, and it is why the cashew cannot simply be tipped into a bag with its shell on and sold. It has to be got out first, and getting it out is a dangerous job.

Most of the world's cashews are still shelled by hand. The work is done overwhelmingly by women, in India, in Vietnam, in parts of Africa, often for a pittance, and frequently without gloves because gloves slow the work and the pay is by the piece. So they handle the caustic shells bare handed, hour after hour, and their fingers crack, burn and scar. In some places the shelling has been done by people who were not free to walk away from it at all.

All of this happens far upstream, invisible, so that the finished nut can arrive in the West clean and pale and premium, marketed as a wholesome snack, a little luxury, a healthy handful. The burns stay in the country of origin. The nut travels on without them.

You were sold the smooth, kidney shaped result and spared every detail of how it got that way. The pain never reaches the product. It stays behind in the hands that freed the nut from the shell.

Republicans claim he is well enough for 20 minute policy phone calls.

If that were true, he could easily dictate out a first person statement saying:

Proton is now publicly calling Windows spyware over the Global Device ID that Microsoft uses for every Windows installation. They say users never consent to the GDID, can't remove it, and that reinstalling Windows only partially helps since Microsoft keeps the old records.

The company found exactly one mention of the identifier in all of Microsoft's public documentation.

Every Windows installation carries a Global Device ID that Microsoft can hand to law enforcement, and a federal complaint against an alleged Scattered Spider hacker just showed it defeating a VPN.

Per the FBI affidavit, Microsoft records tied one GDID to the creation of an ngrok account used in a May 2025 jewelry retailer breach, then gave investigators the device's full IP history. Cross-referenced against the suspect's Apple, Snapchat, and Facebook logins, the VPN didn't matter.

Texas Attorney General, and now Republican nominee for the Texas Senate Ken Paxton gave his friend 28 days in jail after he repeatedly raped a young boy.
