Why does there need to be an enquiry? You don’t hand a baby over to two strange men. Simple as that. Everyone involved in the law, policy and implementation that led to this should be on bread and water in a re-education camp for a decade.
@HuddsPrsrvtnSoc You can get a similar experience to many northern mill towns in the Chilterns (Luton, High Wycombe): coming down from postcard England hill walks into a faded town filled with litter and salwar kameez clad waddlers.
Bucks had grooming gangs too.
@AppalledHamster Yes people rightly pointing out ban won’t achieve its stated objectives, but don’t think it will achieve its real objectives either.
People are already looking out of the window and fedposting about it on WhatsApp under they’re real name and phone number
@kelvmackenzie@Laocailarry We should not delegate arbitrary and inconsistent punishment of offenders like this to other criminals. Imagining they are being tortured is a displacement activity to mollify yourself that justice will be done.
Just hang them.
@nwnatur Can't remember who coined it but the phrase demographic littering is very apt. Crappy, tiny windowed, new builds in a field next to an A road, filled with middle aged Indians. Bizarre.
@bharattaxoffice If you look at the suppliers in the contract most have several other contracts with Bucks so the total figure in the original tweet is probably underestimating taxi spend considerably. I am in the wrong profession.
@bharattaxoffice Double checked and MK is unitary authority - so not included in this I assume. Understand the point that this is central gvt mandated, but feels like there must be corruption here too.
@mythPloughman Nothing will radicalise you like having children, both for the reasons above and because, for most men, it's the only time you'll experience our modern NHS in all it's glory
@BenGoldsmith I'm sorry, this is deranged. A good portion of UMC parents get their children a diagnosis for 25% extra in exams.
My son is such a limp wristed gimp he could only superficially fracture a woman's spine with a sledgehammer is not a defence.
Save it for Sam Melia or Peter Lynch
@bharattaxoffice Most MPs are on X (which is why they’re most vociferous about banning it). Would imagine a good proportion of Labour staff are young women who are well aware.
MPs want SM ban to not look like they’re singling out x, young women agree for different reasons.
@CptHastings1916 In a hypothetical England I’d be somewhat sympathetic to gvt solving a collective action problem like this.
Given we live in reality you shouldn’t give their stated objectives the time of day, they just want to arrest people who disagree with them.
@AbsoluteMeasure@Anglokinist@CoalCornucopia Confined island, particularly post Boriswave, is the key thing.
Middle class in my parent’s generation were able to ostrich. Just not an option now, we win together or hang together. Normie, BLM posting, friends now group chatting things that I wouldn’t post (VPN) on 4chan
@ursine_meeting Mainstream repubs now in the awkward and ironic position of being local irregulars for the UK regime (counterbalance the racist huns, defend immigration, chimp out over ECHR withdrawal using GFA pretext).
I think it will last but not without dissent from their base
@nwnatur There’s a new build estate a few miles from me (South East commuter belt) built on a greenfield site. You’d think impossible to live in without a car.
The (once an hour, single decker) bus stops throng with Africans and Indians.
I wonder if they’re as bewildered as I am.
@nwnatur@AbsoluteMeasure@cornu__copia Yes, huge amount of the “Dutch” on the settlement scheme were Somali as well.
Whenever you see a barely reformed Bowman type arguing for “liberal immigration from the OECD”, this is what you’ll get.
@ursine_meeting@EulipotyphlaOG_ The police (afaict) only investigate murder and political crimes seriously, and the courts only sentence political crimes seriously.
It is very funny to see the left, usually, by definition, incapable of political crime, trip over this incredibly obvious third rail.
@Starvecrowfeast@SaladBarFan Makes sense. I'd hope (in white collar stuff, don't know enough about manufacturing to comment) that our natural advantages combined with better governance (cheap energy, fire Torsten Bell into the sun) would be able to compensate
@m_elnaiem West Bank Settlers: people bought from a continent away by a hostile government, settled against the will of the natives, allowed to brutalise said natives with near impunity, whose presence would vanish the moment that government’s protection and subsidy elapsed. Pic unrelated.

@Starvecrowfeast@SaladBarFan What do you think UK corps would miss out on by not having frontier access? I mollify myself by saying we have an advantage in service, human to human interaction ect. that would compensate for not being at the bleeding edge.
I am almost certainly coping though
