For all those who were screaming there would be public disorder if there was even one check at the border, this one is for you 😡
Sinn Fein, Alliance and SDLP open border policy laid bare.
Paul Frew DUP MLA for North Antrim has strongly condemned the recent acts of menacing graffiti and vandalism in Rasharkin, including the latest attack on the Orange Hall.
Months after Sinn Féin defended the erection of a statue of an IRA man without applying for planning permission, multiple SF figures are engaged in organised opposition to planning permission for a Stormont stone commemorating Northern Ireland’s centenary.

The abuse directed at Carla Lockhart in particular is of such a vile nature that it must be condemned.
She is a popular MP who works for people right across the community. Alongside fellow elected reps, she helped prevent a complex situation in Scarva from escalating.
A great MP.
@naomi_long@SorchaEastwood Maybe as Justice Minister you need to do better. Disappointed at this reaction without any regard for facts or what actually happened yesterday. There was no playing to the crowd. Those of us on the ground were treated horrifically during this spectacular policing failure.
The days of apologetic, weak & pandering roll-over unionism are gone.
No apologies, no retreating, no appeasement.
Unionism are passive victims in the culture war no more.
They berated her: she stands defiant!
No Surrender Carla Lockhart MP! 🇬🇧
Scumbags on scramblers and e-bikes using the 3 Scottish Soldiers Memorial as a racetrack, ruining the grass and spraying mud everywhere.
You have to wonder what type of upbringing these kids have had when they don’t see anything wrong with this.
Hypocrisy from the MP for South Down whose Constituency Office is named after two IRA terrorists, certainly not a welcoming place for decent people and a mockery of the innocent victims of the IRA.
An MP as absent on the ground locally as he is to his seat in Westminster.
“We had a message for them [sectarian bigots masquerading as Irish Republicans] 50 years ago and we have a message for them now – we will never be broken.” @PhillipBrett21👏
Grand Central case over for day 2.
Case has developed given it has now become clear the Minister is also acting in breach of EU law which (ironically for such ardent supporters of the EU writ continuing to run in NI) stands in the way of implementing Minister Kimmin’s decision.
The mere existence of the EU law renders the issue cross cutting, and thus a matter for the Executive leaving aside even all the initial significant, cross cutting and controversial aspects of the decision.
Mr Justice McAlinden listed the case for a further three days at the end of September, following seeking & obtaining confirmation from counsel for the Minister that the undertaking not to erect any Irish Language signage would remain in place (ie, the Minister’s decision can’t be implemented).
There will be no Irish Language at Grand Central.
Thank you to in particular Timothy Gaston MLA who has been there throughout the days along with Samuel Morrison, and Philip Breet and Dean McCullough.
And of course Minister Lyons who has intervened in support of the case.
This Friday marks 50 years since the nakedly sectarian Provo bomb attack on The Times Bar, York Road.
Two men killed, many injured.
A memorial service and new mural unveiling takes place 5th June at 7pm. Families will be present. All welcome to attend and lay floral tributes.
Keir Starmer: “there is no such thing as two-tier policing”.
Police chiefs today: “we will review controversial guidance advising officers to treat ethnic minorities differently”.
The absurdity of modern Britain.
Today, I will introduce my Bill in the Lords to remove the Irish Sea border, protect the UK Single Market, and avoid a hard border. As Govt pursues a “reset” with the EU, here’s the way to safeguard the Union and Brexit.
