@DrewHolden360 1000% Winning (or better) play would be to clean out the newsroom and double down on Metro and Sports. More coverage of prep sports and school board meetings might at least get some local subscribers back for you. Instead, as you say, it's a double down on more of the same.

@JHodges17346662 @redsteeze Not saying there isn't cleaning out needed in sports also—rather that they should be refocusing on local college and HS sports rather than national storylines (which is what I think they should be doing with the news sections too).

@redsteeze Fair enough, but I'm not sure how cutting sports and local coverage helps gets more readers. Instead, they're doubling down on national political reporting . . . which will presumably be written by the same partisans who drove the readers off in the first place.
