I have never been one to make a great fuss about my own birthday. Today, as I turn 61, what I feel most is gratitude.
There is something about this year, 2026, about all we have been through, the love we have shared and the losses we have felt, that makes the gift of another birthday especially precious. These moments remind us how much it matters to have people to share our lives with.
I am grateful for life. For my family, my friends and the people who quietly hold me up. For the privilege of serving this country I love. For all of you whose encouragement gives me strength, especially on the difficult days. I could not do this without you.
To everyone whose well wishes have reached me so early this morning, and everyone who will reach out throughout the day, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I feel the love, and I do not take a moment of it for granted.
Thank you for continuing to walk with me as the years go by, and as I give of my best in service to Barbados and our people.
I am going to try to enjoy today. I am still going to work, though! 😊
Hillary Threatened Iran in 2008. The Script Never Changed.
Presidents come and go in Washington. The script stays the same.
Clinton in 2008: “If I’m the president, we will attack Iran.” Trump shouts it. Biden mutters it. The next one will read it off the same briefing paper. Iran stays in the crosshairs. Then Russia. Then China. The enemy rotates.
The policy does not.
Who writes those papers? Think tanks quietly steered by the same elite networks that partied with Epstein.
The military-industrial complex needs a permanent threat to keep the contracts flowing.
Voters argue over the puppet.
The strings never change.
It does not matter who sits in the White House. Real power never faces an election. It funds both sides and laughs while the machine grinds on.
Stop cheering the players. Start looking at the game.
The Untold Pep Files: A Story of Drugs, Referees, and Dark Money in Football👇
Imagine a story so massive it makes the Lance Armstrong scandal look like a warm-up act. It starts with a single player, spans across three countries, and exposes a decades-long trail of destroyed evidence, "miracle" doctors, and institutional corruption.
Welcome down the rabbit hole. 🕵️♂️⚽
CHAPTER 1: The Player Who Got Caught
Before Pep Guardiola was the master tactician, he was a midfielder for Brescia in 2001. That was the year he tested positive twice for the banned anabolic steroid nandrolone.
His defense? "Contaminated multivitamins."
Who was the man preparing those exact vitamins? Dr. Ramon Segura, the same physiologist who was working with Frank de Boer when De Boer also tested positive for nandrolone that exact same year.
The pattern was set early: win at all costs, and surround yourself with questionable medicine.
CHAPTER 2: The Barcelona "Miracles" & Operación Puerto
When Pep took over Barcelona in 2008, guess who he immediately brought in to lead the medical staff? Dr. Ramon Segura.
At the same time, Spanish football was shadowed by Operación Puerto, the infamous raid on Dr. Eufemiano Fuentes that uncovered 99 blood bags containing EPO. Fuentes openly admitted on trial that he had worked with football and tennis stars, famously taunting the court that naming his clients meant Spain would have to give back their Champions League, European Championship, and World Cup trophies.
The Spanish judge’s response? Refuse to let him name names, reject WADA’s appeal, and order all blood bags destroyed under the guise of doctor-patient confidentiality.
Add to this:
Journalists uncovering full-season "doping preparation plans" for La Liga giants.
Real Sociedad’s president admitting they spent €327,000 annually on illegal black-market PEDs.
Retracted slips on radio revealing players using growth hormones for "muscle recovery."
Spanish football's Golden Era was built, but the paper trail was conveniently burned.
CHAPTER 3: The System Expands — Financial Doping & Negreira
Winning wasn't just happening on the pitch; it was being secured everywhere else.
While the public obsessively meme's about Premier League charges, Barcelona was paying millions to Jose Maria Enriquez Negreira, the Vice President of Spain's Refereeing Committee. When asked in court to provide the "referee reports" they claimed to be paying for, Barca couldn't produce them. They paid off the referees' boss, plain and simple.
CHAPTER 4: The Bayern Friction
When Pep arrived at Bayern Munich, he tried to bring his hyper-aggressive medical protocols with him. He insisted on sending injured players back to Barcelona to be treated by his preferred specialists.
This sparked an explosive fallout with Bayern’s legendary physician Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Müller-Wohlfahrt, who walked out in disgust over Pep’s demands for unnatural, record-breaking recovery times. Bayern’s old guard refused to bend the knee to Pep's dark arts.
CHAPTER 5: Manchester City & The Ultimate Machine
At Manchester City, Pep finally found a club with zero moral boundaries to stop him.
The strategy reached its final, perfected evolution:
Financial Doping: Siphoning billions in hidden payments to bypass FFP rules and buy infinite depth.
Medical Anomaly: Key players like De Bruyne, Kompany constantly flying to Barcelona to see Dr. Ramon Cugat, mysteriously recovering weeks ahead of human biology norms.
Refereeing “controversies” and literally paying off referees like Michael Oliver.
When Samir Nasri got caught receiving illegal IV drip treatments in 2016, it was framed as an isolated mistake.
THE VERDICT
From nandrolone positives in 2001 to 115 financial charges and paid-off referee chiefs today... Pep Guardiola didn't just adapt to elite football. He systematically redefined how to cheat it.
You think Lance Armstrong was the biggest cover-up in sports history?
You haven't been paying attention.

University debate, "Were humans built to eat meat?", same two chairs, same clock.
Vegan: "Anatomically we're closer to the gorilla than the lion. Flat molars, long gut. A gentle plant-eater with delusions."
Paleoanthropologist: "Then explain the acid."
Vegan: "Which acid?"
Paleoanthropologist: "Your stomach runs at a pH of about 1.5. A lion's sits nearer 3.6. Yours is stronger than the animal you've just been contrasted with, by a factor of about a hundred."
Vegan: "Stomach acid digests food."
Paleoanthropologist: "A cow's rumen sits at about 6.5. That's a compost heap with a pulse. Yours strips the zinc off a coin. Why would a gentle plant-eater carry that?"
Vegan: "Protection."
Paleoanthropologist: "From what? Lettuce doesn't fight back."
Vegan: "Bacteria."
Paleoanthropologist: "Which bacteria live in a leaf at a level that needs a pH of 1.5? Name the salad."
Vegan: "..."
Paleoanthropologist: "The animals that run acid as low as ours are the scavengers. Vultures. Things that arrive at a carcass on the second day and need to kill what's already living in it. We're not built like the lion. We're built like the bird that waits for the lion to finish."
Vegan: "Flattering."
Paleoanthropologist: "It's a picture of a species with a rock, a sharp flake and no claws. You don't get the fresh kill. You get the femur nobody could open, forty hours late, and you'd better have the acid for it."
Vegan: "Acid that strong is dangerous. Look how many people are on tablets for it."
Paleoanthropologist: "The only animal on earth that pays to switch its stomach off. You've spent sixty years pouring cereal onto a carcass digester and now you're medicating the digester for doing its job."
Vegan: "So your argument is that we're vultures."
Paleoanthropologist: "My argument is a number. Yours is a feeling about gorillas. The gorilla eats for most of the day and its gut is a fermentation tank. Yours is done in a few hours and runs on acid. One of you is designed for leaves."
Moderator: "Thirty seconds."
Paleoanthropologist: "She can keep them. I'm still waiting on the salad."

Nigeria Hands Over Its $700 Billion Minerals Sector To The US On A Plate
11 days after its mainstream news outlets scrubbed a story about this very development off their websites – for as yet undetermined reasons – Nigeria has officially handed its $700 billion-estimated minerals sector to the US on a plate. The “memorandum of understanding (MoU)” was signed by Nigerian Minister of Solid Minerals Development, Dele Alake, and US Deputy Secretary of State, Christopher Landau, on the sidelines of the 81st UN General Assembly.
Just as the previously-deleted reports said it would be.
This “MoU” effectively gives the US free reign over Nigeria’s critical minerals, and comes at the tail-end of a series of events stretching from October 2025 to July 2026. First, the US peddled a false narrative of a “Christian g*nocide” in Nigeria. Then, the US dropped bombs on Northern Nigeria, under this false pretext. Then, the US deployed its troops to Nigeria, as its officials “recommended” that the West African country end its strategic relationships with China and Russia – two of its largest economic and defense partners – in exchange for US military “support”. Then, the US withdrew its troops, leaving Nigeria no safer. Then @terraindustries, a CIA-linked Nigerian defense tech startup, secured a $2 million deal to “protect lithium mining operations in Nigeria”.
All of this happened with the full knowledge and consent of the current Nigerian government, and here we are today. It will come as no surprise if the “Christian g*nocide in Nigeria” narrative disappears from the vocabulary of Washington in the coming weeks – like so many false pretexts before it. The US finally got what it was after all along.
The people of Nigeria would do well to see this theater production for what it always was, and take the necessary action to install a leadership that actually answers to them. The people of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES) did precisely this between 2021 and 2023, and the sky has yet to fall down.
Every human being has equal value. Every single one.
At the United Nations General Assembly, I challenged a world that still decides whose lives deserve protection and whose suffering can be ignored.
No race is superior. No people are disposable. Until we honour that truth, "everywhere is war" remains a warning we have failed to heed.
What the world needs now is love, with the courage to confront injustice and defend our shared humanity.
Love and a little kindness. For everyone.
Hollywood script writers who say they are 'Jewish' have been planting the mental seeds for war with Iran for years, including in Top Gun Maverick, Homeland, 24, and in the DreamWorks film on Julian Assange 'The Fifth Estate'. Excerpt from Oxford Union speech, 30 January 2013.
NDC officials do not appear to be interested in the money Obidients will raise for the campaign.
That can only mean one thing: APC is paying them enough to ensure their presidential candidate (Peter Obi) is sabotaged from within.
E be things.
Silence greeted my proposal.
When I got up to ease myself, I noticed that a member of the parent board, who attended the Nigerian board meetings only occasionally, followed me.
In the toilet, Dr Peter Frerk told me he had a confession to make.
The impression they had been given in Germany, he said, was that the Nigerians in the company were not particularly smart, but were generally lazy pilferers of company goods, working in a plant that had more coconut trees than cars foreign-exchange allocations allowed it to assemble.
Then he said something that stayed with me.
My proposal was brilliant.
But there was a problem.
With Nigeria’s borders repeatedly closing after coups, Germany could not safely depend on a Nigerian plant for components needed in its global production chain.
It galled me.
But I could not ignore the larger lesson.
The government had refused for years to respond to the joint venture’s second capital call. I had eventually used my personal friendship with the then Industries Minister, AVM Mohammed Yahaya, to get the ministry to issue a cheque, rather than waiting for the official government shareholder, Ministry of Finance Incorporated, to act.
Frerk also reminded me that Germany had become so frustrated with the joint venture that, by the time I joined, it was trying to persuade Mandilas to buy them out.
John Mandilas was not particularly interested.
We returned to the meeting.
But I kept thinking about Kowit.
Thailand had experienced coup after coup too. Yet coups alone could not explain the difference.
They mattered, certainly. But Thailand had also benefited from elite consensus and the unifying role of the monarchy.
Kowit went home and played his part.
I went home too.
In 1982, the very day my doctoral dissertation was accepted, I left without even waiting to collect the bound copies. My friend Folu Ogundimu collected them and kept them until I returned months later for commencement.
But on that long flight across the Atlantic, I made a pledge to the Big Man in the heavens.
I knew I would spend much of my life criticising what was wrong with society.
But I did not want to become merely an iconoclast.
I did not want to be the intellectual who could diagnose every problem but build nothing.
I prayed for the grace to do something, however small, to leave an impact for good in everything I criticised.
That prayer has produced a forty-year trail of activity.
Programmes for poor widows.
Youth and leadership development.
Television programmes that have run for 22 years and counting.
Academic work across several disciplines.
Entrepreneurship initiatives across different sectors of the economy.
It has been a long journey.
Sometimes, it leaves you feeling strangely alone and lonely in a crowd.
Because while you are trying to build, others are still dismantling.
While you are trying to create possibilities, they are busy stealing them.
And perhaps that is the deepest pain of this long Nigerian journey.
It is not merely that they stole opportunities from a country.
They kept their knees on the neck of possibility itself, pressing down on the lives we might have lived and the nation we might have built.
Cuba.
A country with eleven million people.
Ninety miles from Florida.
No meaningful military capacity to threaten the United States.
Under economic embargo for over 64 years.
Sixty-four years.
The stated reason has evolved. Communism. "Democracy promotion." "Human rights." "The Castro regime." Then "the post-Castro regime."
The actual reason is simpler and more enduring:
Cuba refused.
Cuba nationalized American-owned property.
Cuba told Washington it would not be managed.
Cuba survived everything Washington threw at it: the Bay of Pigs, hundreds of assassination attempts, decades of economic strangulation.
And it remained, visibly, stubbornly, infuriatingly itself.
Cuba is not an enemy because it is dangerous.
Cuba is an enemy because it is defiant.
Because an island of eleven million people that successfully refuses American authority is more threatening to the logic of empire than any military power.
Because the empire cannot afford for refusal to be survivable.
Cuba has survived.
For sixty-four years.
The embargo continues.
Not to change Cuba.
To punish the existence of the example.
China developed and made themselves strong which is why most countries can't fuck with it. Including America.
America realized it too late with China and said, we'll be damned if we let India get that strong too. Not on our watch.
Which means America will play it's cards to ensure India never gets to that level, all to protect its own interest and power.
And yet people where acting obtuse when I said America, Europe and the Middle East has to fall for Africa to rise.
These regions are not stopping us from developing, but you can be assured that they will intervene and sabotage our efforts to develop.
The fact that I have to spell it out for some of you is insane.
You really think the West is going to sit idly by and watch Africa develop and become the global power it's destined to be???
No region will allow that, heck even Russia and China will stab us in the back if they begin to perceive Africa as a threat.
But as of now, America, Europe and the Middle East are currently the imminent threat that will do whatever it takes to sabotage Africa.
As they have before.
