How can the Executive Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area fix 5th September for a grand reception to welcome Nyesom Wike to Ikwerre LGA, knowing fully well that the same date has already been fixed for the burial ceremony of Mama Mary Orduah Amaechi, the beloved mother of Rt. Hon. @ChibuikeAmaechi ?

One cannot help but question the insensitivity behind such a decision. Is it mere coincidence, or a deliberate attempt to disrespect a solemn moment in the life of a man who has sacrificed and contributed immensely to the development of Ikwerre Local Government Area and Rivers State as a whole?

At a time when a son of Ikwerre is laying his beloved mother to rest, the appropriate thing should be for the people to stand with him, share in his grief, and pay their final respects to Mama Mary Orduah Amaechi.

I therefore call on the good people of Ikwerre Local Government Area, irrespective of political affiliation, to rise above politics and stand in solidarity with Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and his family.

Let us give Mama Mary Orduah Amaechi the honour and final respect she deserves.

Politics should never take precedence over humanity, culture, compassion, and respect for the dead.
