Earlier today, we attended the Kick-Off Ceremony of the Nigerian Content Remedial Training Programme for the training of Twenty Nine (29) candidates on Engineering, QMS, Crane Operation, Welding and Fabrication, and Other Oil and Gas Related Skill-set in collaboration with Waltersmith Petroman Oil Limited and Dexterous Applied Training Institute @dexterousinstitute in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Mr Adelana Akintunde (FIMC, FCIPS), represented by the General Manager M&E, Mr Jeff Tuatuagha, commended Waltersmith for bringing this training to bear, stressing that it is in accordance with the Board's Human Capital Development (HCD) efforts. He noted that the Board expects that the training will provide learners with the necessary skills and enable them to find work in the Oil and Gas Industry.
Dexterous' Chief Training Officer, Engr. O. C. Scott, also thanked the Board and Waltersmith for the training. He promised to cover the groundwork and equip learners with all of the necessary abilities.
Mr Emmanuel Abakpa, Supervisor, Monitoring and Evaluation, Mr Ifeanyi Nwokemodo, Supervisor, Corporate Communications, and other Board officials accompanied Mr Jeff Tuatuagha to the Kick-off ceremony.
