Gattuso can now see that he was wrong with his comment about giving more slots to Africa in the World Cup when his country failed to qualify. Gaps between nations are being narrowed significantly. The players feature in the same clubs while Mourinho even voiced his choice for African players. The only painful thing is that in spite of the enlargement of contingents from Africa Nigeria failed to grab the opportunity, despite availability of good players.
