🇨🇦🇸🇴 Today, I introduced a private member’s bill that would declare July of every year in Canada as Somali Heritage Month!

I’d like to thank MP @HonAhmedHussen for co-sponsoring this bill with me and for his counsel.

I hope that all MPs will support this legislation.

Canada is home to many Canadians of Somali heritage.

Canadians of Somali descent have left and continue to leave a historic mark on Canada, with contributions that span communities across the country and are reflected in Canada’s economic, political, social and cultural life.

If passed, Somali heritage month would give us an opportunity to celebrate that heritage, the role that Canada has played in supporting Somali Canadians and their contributions to Canada.

@mapleblooded I just bought about 4lbs of lean ground beef from Costco for $30, so about $7-8/lb. But I do understand why a local butcher would be expensive. They don't have the same volume that costco or big stores have.

@CoryStenn Looks more like the owner cheaped out on training the labor and stocking up on proper ingredients. It's a tragedy nonetheless. A lot of businesses do exploit these student labor because they happily work on cash-only pay, and the owners don't have to pay the market wage.

@ash_twtz Apple laptops are meant to be gaming platform. They are always targeted at general use and developer workload. The M series already comes with a GPU that can run AI models locally at decent tokens/sec. Why would they pay Nvidia to add a 2nd gpu?

@horsepower I use a 48 inch c4 oled as my monitor. I had to shrink down the top and bottom borders using Intel graphics app but it's usable. It does want you to be careful though. I keep my brightness at 40 and taskbar hidden, dark wallpaper and turn it off whenever I'm stepping away.

@SydneyLWatson Laufey's story was untold and fans really wanted to know her past. It was a bit shocking that this delivered story is different however as long as it connects to the next main sequel, it's fine. I do believe they could have omitted the GoW branding and make it a separate title

@Pirat_Nation The only improvement or change I feel they should have done was, not have GoW in the title. This game is a day 1 buy for me, but it needs to be sold as a Laufey's game. For fans, GoW = Kratos. This could have been called "Laufey" or Laufey: Afterlife. I'm looking forward to Faye!
