"Every time a dog I love dies, they take a piece of my heart with them. And every time a new dog comes into my life, they give me a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the pieces of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are."
Its simple people: Look it up. Barrel of oil June 2008 was $126 and a gallon of gas was $4.11 per gallon. Now a barrel of oil is $106 while a gallon of gas is at $6.02 per gallon. Do you understand we are being robbed in front of our eyes?
@TheShyWoof @Ms_Deathwish@rebeccamakkai@Remember_Sarah I’m old enough to know that seafood wouldn’t have been fresh. It wouldn’t even have been frozen. That’s what seafood salad made from seafood (shrimp, crabmeat) out of cans looks like.
@p_riddy1@gtconway3d I loved an old clip from “Murphy Brown” for the same reason. She’s meeting a celebrated and very attractive female Russian journalist (the RU Murphy Brown, so they say) who’s being taken on a tour of the newsroom. She quips, “Maybe she should be out chasing Moose and Squirrel”.
@Caissie Wasn’t meant to be insulting. If intended as anything beyond conversational, might be meant to diffuse some of the (sometimes comical) apocalyptic responses.
🙏🏻
@Caissie As with a glass prism, it depends on the angle at which light passes through the droplets. Oblique angle (early morning, late afternoon) is best. Sun almost overhead, might be no visible rainbow.
@slvrhamr@RadioFreeTom 50K dead in Ukraine, a satellite state of Russia for generations (and also—Putin is right here—where the Rus people began their empire in medieval times) versus 100M dead worldwide after a superpower exchange of ICBMs. Not called Mutally Assured Destruction for no reason….
@kurtbardella Marco Rubio alluded to that in a Tweet 4-5 days ago. And he’s the Republicans can co-chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee so he’d be briefed on info like that.
@Thereseinpdx There is the question of efficacy. Putin’s standing army seems to number around 200K. They are young and mostly conscripts. And they’re not doing anywhere near as well as expected against Ukraine. How well would they do against a NATO-backed Poland?
@DWHarper@atrupar It may be. She’s got all her vowels and expressive intonation. “G” is a consonant that comes from the throat, not from the shape of the mouth.
@Reelhousewife1 1991-2006: Bianca (Pomeranian)

2006-2921: Cosette (Pom)
After Fantine’s daughter, Valjean’s ward in “Les Miserables”
2021-?: Bingley/Bings (Pom)
After Darcy’s nicer friend in “Pride and Prejudice”
@nicholasrmiller@richsignorelli@RealJimSnell …Ukrainian freedom. We all need to find a new planet to live on.
Everyone seems to call for a No-Fly Zone as if it’s a Cloak of Invisibility in the form of a see-thru dome. It is an order in combat which likely won’t be honoured till enforced. Shooting war. Nukes.
@nicholasrmiller@richsignorelli@RealJimSnell …lost—and the West is in a shooting war with RU, the second greatest nuclear power in the world.
WWIII.
4. RU is known to allow for tactical (limited) nuclear weapons on the battlefield when it’s losing (often) so Putin drops the third one—ever in history.
Never mind…4
