Most AI products still lack the context that makes them feel useful. They respond, but they don’t yet understand the nuances of the person they’re talking to.
Context Gateway changes that.
Built on @vana data layer, it lets applications work with user-permissioned data from connected apps, giving AI products the context to understand users with more depth, continuity, and relevance.
At Consensus Miami 2026, @annakaz will show data portability in practice.

AI has never been more powerful. So why does it still miss so much?
The reason is often not model capability, but missing context.
Our new report with @vana tests the top 5 models to show what’s driving that gap.

At Open Data Labs, we’re developing infrastructure for data provenance, consent, and contribution, translating the principles of data economics into practice. We welcome collaborators interested in advancing this work.
3/ It outlines a hierarchy of data units: tokens, records, datasets, corpora, and streams.
Each operates at a different level of composition and pricing logic, translating technical measures into the economic language needed for real data markets. It also highlights open questions at the frontiers of data economics.
@den0thic@vana@yzilabs@cz_binance An update aligning DLP incentives more closely data access and data value is in the works here: https://t.co/tsE54QST34
🧵/ As core contributors to the @vana protocol, we are excited to propose a next phase of technical development to achieve Vana's mission to give all individuals a stake in the value of their data.
A VRC (Vana Request for Comment) has been published, for the community's feedback, that charts a path forward for rewarding data contributors and data liquidity pools (DLPs), while also incentivizing enduring growth in demand for high quality data on the Vana network.
Details and links to comment on the VRC are in the thread below.
9/ These updates will create a valuable and sustainable market for user-owned data, and we’re excited to discuss these changes with the community. We invite the your feedback on this exploratory proposal!

8/ In order to access data on the network, developers, companies, and agents will pay fees denominated 80% in data tokens and 20% in VANA, with fees calculated as a function of total compute time in Vana’s secure compute layer.
Today we release the Vana Whitepaper.
Vana unlocks data as a new asset class, accelerating AI progress while restoring data sovereignty in the age of AI.
In the original vision of the internet, users maintained full control, even wearing their personal data on them (pictured)
