Ozone can leave a plant unable to close its pores properly.

A sensitive bean was exposed to about 70 ppb for eight hours a day over one month. Its pores still closed sluggishly afterward.

The task asked for an irreversible threshold. The agent refused: the study showed persistent dysfunction, not permanent damage.

fine.

So researchers stopped reading the output and read the
activations instead. Simplest tool available: a linear probe.
