@bkiepuszewski Ok that makes sense. So you are able to bring a ton less data b/c you are only paying to batch your merkle path with those who want their merkle paths kept on chain. Then moving forward you need to ensure with each state root update that your merkle path is also updated in the da
@bkiepuszewski That's where I get lost. If the full state of the rollup is needed at every state root (or at least the change), then what is the purpose of also storing the state/diff in a validium? Unless only a portion of the state is necessary for force exits?
@bkiepuszewski Ok very helpful! If you choose L1 DA as a user, how would you ensure the continued posting of state data on L1 and who pays for that? And if someone is paying for that full roll-up mode, why would anyone pay for Validium style da too? Since the validium DA would be redundant
@bkiepuszewski Lots of talk of users choosing "roll-up mode" or "validium mode" on a tx by tx basis for da. But the state of the l2 posted in roll-up mode will lose its guarantees if the state diffs aren't in roll-up mode from then on. So it doesn't seem reasonable. What are we missing?
@bkiepuszewski Awesome thread! Question: what does the proof required for force exits on L1 look like? How does one provide that to the roll-up or validium contract and recover funds?
