Today we're launching the OpenBB App Marketplace.
Financial data apps from vetted providers with charts, tables, documents, and other interactive widgets.
All live inside the OpenBB Workspace and ready to explore with AI.
Find a provider, trial their data in your actual workflow, and connect an API key when you're ready. Skip sales calls, IT tickets, and integration sprints.
The data you need is now a few clicks away.
Early partners include BlueGamma, @findatasets, Outsampler, @synorb, @koinju, Open Portfolio (Alberto Gallini), VecViz (Rodger Coyne), @axioradev, Exponential Technology, and @velo_xyz . More coming soon.

Most wealth management workflows are slow because the data and tools live in five places, and stitching them together is a full-time job.
We built a demo showing what it looks like when that friction disappears.
In one session inside OpenBB Workspace: portfolio analysis, FactSet data, Snowflake Cortex for calculations, and Google Workspace connected via MCP to access your email directly. From positions to client-ready insights, without leaving your environment.
Worth a watch if you're still copying data between platforms before a client call.

Introducing Workspace MCP 🎉 AI inside investment firms has moved past chat interfaces.
The firms moving fastest are running long-running agents, Claude Code, Codex, and similar systems that are built to run complex workflows end to end, but still lack the infrastructure to do it inside a financial firm.
Most of that work ends up ungoverned. Outputs land in chat threads and local folders. No lineage, no access controls, no clear path into production. Some CTOs are hiring people just to review what the analysts' agents produced.
Today we're introducing Workspace MCP.
It gives any MCP-compatible agent the infrastructure it needs to operate inside your firm: your data sources, your entitlements, your security perimeter. Agents can run portfolio risk assessments, build apps from connected data, explain existing dashboards, and push analysis directly into shareable widgets.
The work gets done. And everyone can trace it, trust it, and build on top of it.
Available now for all users.
How I'm wiring X_Quant into @openbb_finance Workspace.
I've run research on Workspace for weeks. Next step: turning my systematic trading platform — X_Quant, 274K LOC — into a native custom backend.
It already exposes FastAPI endpoints: /backtest, /attribution, /pbo, /regime-gates, /capacity.
Most data distribution today still follows one of two paths: a static catalog you browse or a raw API you get and then build everything yourself.
Neither of those works well for an analyst who needs to answer a question today.
That's why we built the OpenBB App Marketplace.

If you thought the Apps Marketplace launch was good, wait until you have @OpenAI Codex interacting with your financial workspace end-to-end with all enterprise controls, governance, etc...
In this demo I show how Codex is working with Open Portfolio app built on OpenBB - https://t.co/vlSPmgnuDl
This is probably going to be our biggest launch of the year.
Workspace MCP is in early access for enterprise clients.
Koinju Crypto Data is live inside OpenBB Workspace.
With @openbb_finance, Koinju brings a cross-venue crypto market dataset into AI-powered research workflows.
Widgets for speed. REST + SQL for composability.

Congrats to @openbb_finance on the App Marketplace—vetted data you can trial in your real workflow, right inside the Workspace.
Proud to be a launch partner: Synorb’s context graph turns filings, podcasts, corporate engineering blogs, and more into source-linked signals + metadata (entities, topics, timestamps, provenance) so teams can build filterable widgets/dashboards and power Copilot/agent workflows.
Huge unlock for buy-side teams.
Axiora is now live on the @openbb_finance App Marketplace.
Verifiable ownership and capital intelligence for Japanese equities — every row traced to an EDINET filing.
Built for Japan equity analysts at hedge funds and research platforms.

The friction between “I need this data” and “I have this data running in my workflow” was the most underrated bottleneck in quant research.
Currently using OpenBB Workspace for X_Quant — the App Marketplace removes the worst part of the loop: sales calls, IT tickets, integration sprints just to trial a data feed. Browse, trial, connect API key when ready.
The strategic move buried in this launch: OpenBB is becoming the data broker layer for systematic research. Same architectural play as Composio for agent tools, but for financial data.
Vetted providers + interactive widgets + AI-native workspace is the right primitive for the next generation of quantitative research stacks.
We're co-hosting the AI for Finance Summit New York with LinqAlpha on June 2, part of NY TECH WEEK by a16z.
Alternative data has been discussed for years. Prediction markets are finally being taken seriously. And AI is changing what's possible in research and trading workflows, faster than most firms are ready for. That's what this forum is about.
All sessions under Chatham House Rule. Confirmed speakers and attendees from J.P. Morgan, BlackRock, Coatue Management, Polymarket, XTX Markets, ICE, Google, and more.
Huge thanks to AQR Capital Management and Guidepoint for their support in making this happen.
This is invite-only with very limited capacity. We review every RSVP manually and keep the room small on purpose.

Last week, OpenBB joined the new WealthTech cohort at The Founders Arena in Arlington, TX 👀
Our CPO spent the week with leaders from RIAs, banks, custodians, and wealth platforms, pressure‑testing how OpenBB can help them move from fragmented analytics to AI‑ready, production‑grade workspaces.
What stood out in the conversations:
• How much time teams still lose stitching together data and spreadsheets
• The appetite for AI that actually respects governance and compliance
• The need for configurable analytics applications that business teams can adjust without long dev cycles
That is exactly where OpenBB comes in, giving financial institutions a way to bring their data, internal models, and AI agents into a single environment that is secure, explainable, and ready for real investment workflows.
Thank you to Pamela Cytron and The Founders Arena crew for curating a community that is serious about building what comes next in WealthTech.
