@hstupak1 I knew “we’re all in it together” was a sham when they ordered their groceries online and had the people from the town over shopping for them “to protect” the (elderly, children, immune deficient, insert your word of the day)
@FFXParentsAssoc How did we even get here?! Oh right, covid and remote schooling. I can’t trust an institution that didn’t immediately remove screens from kids once they made a decision to return.
If you supported mandatory lockdowns, banning people from going outside, restricting people from seeing relatives, forced face coverings, mandatory injections, segregation, mass censorship, and/or denying healthcare to people, don't lecture us about 'human rights'.
And yet we closed schools for a year, forcing even our youngest learners to learn via a screen. Enough. We need to return to paper & pencil, physical textbooks kids can bring home, and class sets of laptops instead of personal laptops.
40% of low and low-middle-income households say they cannot afford to pay for a home internet high-speed subscription. This is even greater for communities of color, rural communities, and older Americans.
Closing the digital divide is imperative.
@SecCardona Schools never should have closed! The mental health toll that CT children faced because of locked schools, remote learning, hybrid learning, lack of socialization, schools that put fear into kids with signs and messaging about distancing, masking, death…you were no leader.
@DecentFiJC@ProjectVirginia Many variables to this questions. HS math? Retired engineer, hands down. Elem school? Ignoring the certified and masters part, I choose the teacher because, as a former teacher, I believe many teachers have a gift to work w/ students, to manage a classroom, to break it down
"LEAVE OUR KIDS ALONE" - Muslims and Christians unite on the streets of Ottawa, trampling the Gender Ideology Flag. This is a turning point. Let kids be kids.
@paulaptlb@VPrasadMDMPH Absolutely. For many children, school is a place of security (food & supervision) while parents work, on top of the obvious academics.
@ProjectVirginia Yes! Yesterday smelled so much like plastic. Today I smelled more wood…but a unique type. Never smelled anything like this when driving through wildfires in CO.
As our country continues to grow more diverse and as our global economy becomes more interconnected, we must provide opportunities for all students to be multilingual.

@VPrasadMDMPH Wonder if they’ll be tossed, unwrapped, in boxes for everyone to grab, trying on if they’d like before deciding how many to take. This picture is from 2/4/22
Many professions disgraced themselves during covid, but none so much as doctors.
They put their own interests before that of their patient and violated sacred oaths without blinking an eye.
They are not healers, but stormtroopers and enforcers for the pharma-industrial complex.
