In commemoration of World Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026, we partnered with SHE-MENTORS Uganda, @SUSIUg_Alumni, @USAlumniUganda and @OpenWorldF to combat period poverty and support girls’ education in Jinja District through the Achieve More Girl Initiative.
We distributed 250 reusable sanitary towel kits to girls at Kagoma Primary School to help keep them in school and promote dignity, confidence and educational continuity.
A sincere thank you to @dtb_uganda for generously providing the menstrual hygiene kits distributed to girls across different schools in Jinja today. Your contribution goes beyond support, it is helping restore dignity, confidence, and uninterrupted learning for many young girls.

Monday myth buster!
The Myth: Once someone develops a mental health condition, they will never recover.
The reality: People with mental health challenges can and do recover. With the right support which can include therapy, life adjustments, community support or medication many people live full, highly productive, and successful lives.

This Mother’s Day,we celebrate all mothers in our community who face the dual challenge of vulnerability and responsibility. Whether they are navigating economic hardships or displacement, their commitment to their families’ wellbeing is the foundation of our work.
When we empower a vulnerable mother, we are not just helping one person, we are securing health, education, and safety of an entire household.
Today, we honor your strength. We see your struggle, and we are committed to walking beside you.
Happy Mother’s Day.

Did you know? “While a wealthy individual can buy support during illness, a vulnerable person relies almost entirely on their own body and mind to navigate challenges”.
Good health is not just a personal benefit, it is the engine of upward mobility.
