We have been quiet, but it's because we have been hard at work to soft launch Exodus' future headquarters at 608 W 149th!
On May 1st, we hosted our annual fundraiser, where we showcased Exodus' past, present, and future at our new space.

We were inspired by the snowy weather and had our students create their own snowpeople during their creative/art time using marshmallows and glue. This is a creative and cute winter activity!

This past weekend, we celebrated our annual *His Toy Store* Christmas event, where over 80 students received toys & gifts & a feast to celebrate the season.

Yesterday, our students participated in their first ever silent disco for kids at Highbridge Recreational Center. Our kids had fun dancing & even singing along with each other. TY @NYCParks department for doing family-friendly events like these.

Fall festivities are not complete without some pumpkins. Our K-3rd graders showed off their artistic skills by painting pumpkins during our lights on Fall event, where we celebrate the importance of afterschool programming. It’s nice to see the fun designs they come up with.

Last week we wrapped up Hispanic Heritage Month with students celebrating and honoring Hispanic cultures outside of their own. 2nd-3rd graders learned about Mexican culture and crafted up mini sombreros while 4th-5th graders designed Hispanic country flags.

As we wrap up Week 2, our CEO, Dr. Mark Gonzalez stopped by for some selfies with students. We love seeing how our new students quickly acclimated to program and are already making friends. We’re believing for a wonderful year!

Bryant had the opportunity to participate in the Home Plate Ceremony alongside Con Edison's CEO, Tim Cawley, and other recipients.

Afterward, they invited some of the Exodus team to join Bryant in enjoying the rest of the game in a Yankee suite.

Summer is in full swing at Operation Exodus. During these 5 weeks, students will bring cultures from around the world into their classrooms. We're excited to follow their journeys of discovery through arts, food, landscapes, and more! Check out our first week recap.

Today culminated Exodus' 22/23 academic year. We celebrated with an award cerembuffer. an end of the year buffet. We thank God and you all for allowing us to serve our community one more year. Now, onto the summer.
