तमिलनाडु के रामनाथपुरम जिले की वलिनोक्कम ग्राम पंचायत में घरों के ऊपर से कम ऊँचाई पर गुजर रही हाई-वोल्टेज बिजली की तारें ग्रामीणों, विशेषकर बच्चों, की सुरक्षा के लिए गंभीर खतरा बनी हुई थीं। #CPGRAMS पर दर्ज शिकायत पर त्वरित कार्रवाई के बाद संबंधित विभागों ने तारों को सुरक्षित ऊँचाई पर स्थानांतरित कर समस्या का स्थायी समाधान सुनिश्चित किया।

আজ অরুন্ধতীনগরস্থিত স্টেট পঞ্চায়েত রিসোর্স সেন্টারে আয়োজিত পঞ্চায়েত পুরস্কার প্রদান অনুষ্ঠানে অংশগ্রহণ করি। রাজ্যের মাননীয় মুখ্যমন্ত্রী অধ্যাপক @DrManikSaha2 মহোদয় এ মহতী অনুষ্ঠানে শুভ উদ্বোধন করেন এবং বিজয়ীদের হাতে পুরস্কার তুলে দেন।
অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে বলি আজকের এই অনুষ্ঠান শুধুমাত্র পুরস্কার প্রদানের নয়; এটি আমাদের পঞ্চায়েত ব্যবস্থার নিষ্ঠা, স্বচ্ছতা, সুশাসন এবং জনসেবার প্রতি অঙ্গীকারের এক গৌরবময় স্বীকৃতি।
অনুষ্ঠানে জাতীয় ও রাজ্যস্তরে কৃতিত্ব অর্জনকারী গ্রাম পঞ্চায়েত, পঞ্চায়েত সমিতি, জেলা পরিষদ এবং ভিলেজ কমিটির জনপ্রতিনিধি ও কর্মীদের আন্তরিক অভিনন্দন জানাই। তাঁদের সাফল্য সমগ্র ত্রিপুরার গর্ব এবং অন্যান্য পঞ্চায়েতের জন্য অনুপ্রেরণা।
আমার বক্তব্যে তুলে ধরেছি যে, ভারতের গণতন্ত্রের প্রকৃত শক্তি নিহিত রয়েছে গ্রামের পঞ্চায়েত ব্যবস্থায়। মানুষের কাছে সরকারের প্রথম এবং সবচেয়ে কাছের মুখ হলো পঞ্চায়েত। তাই আমাদের লক্ষ্য শুধু পরিকাঠামো নির্মাণ নয়; মানুষের বিশ্বাস অর্জন, স্বচ্ছ প্রশাসন নিশ্চিত করা এবং প্রতিটি গ্রামকে আত্মনির্ভর ও উন্নত গ্রামে রূপান্তরিত করা।
মাননীয় প্রধানমন্ত্রী শ্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদীজির “বিকশিত ভারত ২০৪৭”-এর স্বপ্ন এবং মাননীয় মুখ্যমন্ত্রী অধ্যাপক (ড.) মানিক সাহা মহাশয়ের নেতৃত্বে ত্রিপুরা সরকার গ্রামীণ উন্নয়নকে সর্বোচ্চ অগ্রাধিকার দিয়ে কাজ করছে। এই অভিযাত্রায় পঞ্চায়েতের জনপ্রতিনিধি, প্রশাসনিক আধিকারিক এবং মাঠপর্যায়ের প্রতিটি কর্মীর অবদান অত্যন্ত গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
আসুন, আমরা সবাই মিলে এমন একটি ত্রিপুরা গড়ে তুলি—
যেখানে প্রতিটি গ্রাম হবে উন্নয়নের মডেল, প্রতিটি পঞ্চায়েত হবে স্বচ্ছতার প্রতীক, প্রতিটি পরিবার হবে সমৃদ্ধির অংশীদার।

Shri C. R. Patil, Union Minister of Jal Shakti, chaired a review meeting on 18 July 2026 at #Navsari, #Gujarat, during which District-level analysis of the Panchayat Advancement Index (#PAI) for all Gram Panchayats in #Navsari District was presented.
Shri Vipul Ujwal, Director, Ministry of Panchayati Raj #MoPR, made a detailed presentation on the significance of the #PanchayatAdvancementIndex as a robust framework for assessing the performance of Gram Panchayats across the nine themes of the Localized Sustainable Development Goals (#LSDGs). He presented theme-wise and indicator-wise performance of Gram Panchayats, along with the corresponding performance of line Departments against the respective indicators.
The presentation also outlined a roadmap for targeted interventions to improve moderately and poorly performing indicators, while highlighting the role of all stakeholders in enhancing the overall performance of Gram Panchayats. The meeting was attended by the Collector and District Magistrate, Navsari, and District Nodal Officers of all concerned line Departments.

A presentation on Water Budgeting for achieving Water Sufficient Gram Panchayats was made before Union Minister of Jal Shakti Shri C. R. Patil during a review meeting held in #Surat, #Gujarat today. Shri Vipul Ujwal, Director, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, explained the methodology for assessing village level water availability and demand, carrying out water gap analysis, and preparing data driven Water Security Plans for integration into the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (#GPDP).
#MoPR also showcased high resolution drainage maps for villages in #Navsari District, developed using #SVAMITVA drone derived geospatial data, to support scientific planning of village #drainage networks, improve stormwater management, and reduce waterlogging.

The pilot ‘Nirbhay Chetna’ training for male elected representatives, conducted by the Ministry of Panchayati Raj, was held on 13–14 July 2026 at CTI Hehal, Ranchi. This programme, under the #NirbhayRaho initiative, sensitized 25 representatives from Jharkhand on gender-related issues. The course aimed to build safer communities and gender‑responsive leadership through dialogue, participatory learning and collaborative reflection.

#BRICS2026 | Shri Vivek Bharadwaj, Secretary, Ministry of Panchayati Raj, Government of India, chaired Panel 3, "Advancing Women’s Leadership at the Grassroots", during the BRICS Women Ministerial Meeting held in Kochi, Kerala, on 8 July 2026.
Sharing India's experience in strengthening democratic decentralization and women-led local governance, Shri Bharadwaj highlighted the transformative role of women in Panchayati Raj Institutions. He noted that 25 of the 42 Gram Panchayats recognised for exemplary performance under the National Panchayat Awards last year are led by women, reflecting the growing contribution of women to inclusive, participatory and sustainable local governance.
He highlighted the Ministry's Sashakt Panchayat Netri Abhiyan, launched to address the specific capacity-building needs of elected women representatives, under which around 1.5 lakh women leaders have already been trained. He also underlined the Ministry's efforts to promote genuine women's leadership by addressing the challenge of proxy representation and shared that a dedicated Task Force has submitted its recommendations.
Shri Bharadwaj further highlighted the initiative to establish a Model Women-Friendly Gram Panchayat in every district of the country, with 744 Gram Panchayats being developed with the active support of UNFPA.
Referring to the Ministry's localization of the Sustainable Development Goals into nine citizen-centric themes #LSDGs and the Panchayat Advancement Index (#PAI) with 150 measurable indicators, he emphasized that empowering women leaders, strengthening grassroots institutions and promoting evidence-based local governance are key to advancing inclusive and sustainable development, and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
