50 years. The Jubilee year.
In the Bible, every 50th year was declared a Jubilee. The name comes from the Hebrew word yōḇel, meaning the ram's horn that was blown across the land to announce a new beginning. It was a year of freedom, restoration, and celebration.
Debts were forgiven. Slaves were set free. Families were reunited with their ancestral land. It was a fresh start, a reminder that after years of waiting, restoration would finally come.
So why talk about the Jubilee year?
Because, ladies and gentlemen... even though Arsenal didn't have to wait 50 years, after years of near misses, heartbreak and perseverance, they too experienced their own season of restoration.
It's been 50 days since Arsenal were crowned 2025/26 Premier League champions.
The year is 2003.
What begins as a strong finish to the season soon turns into the greatest unbeaten run in Premier League history.
Over the next 18 months, Arsène Wenger's Arsenal go 49 consecutive league matches without defeat.
Along the way, they complete the entire 2003/04 Premier League season unbeaten, winning the title with 26 wins and 12 draws to earn the nickname The Invincibles.
Led by Thierry Henry, Patrick Vieira, Robert Pires, Sol Campbell and Dennis Bergkamp, Arsenal played fearless, attacking football while breaking records that still stand today.
The remarkable run controversially came to an end at Old Trafford in October 2004, but by then Arsenal had already secured their place in football history with a record no Premier League club has matched since.
So why bring up Arsenal's iconic 49-game unbeaten run?
Because, ladies and gentlemen...
It's been 49 days since Arsenal won the Premier League title.
2006. A year that gave Arsenal one of the most memorable nights in the club's European history.
In the second leg of the Champions League Round of 16 at Santiago Bernabéu, Thierry Henry delivered a moment of pure brilliance. Picking up the ball near the halfway line, he surged past Real Madrid defenders including Sergio Ramos, coolly slotting the ball past Iker Casillas.
This goal secured a 1-0 victory and sent Arsenal through on aggregate, making them the first English club to defeat Real Madrid at the Bernabéu. To this day it stands as one of Henry’s greatest goals and a landmark moment in Arsenal’s European history.
So why bring up a goal scored in the 47th minute back in 2006?
Because, ladies and gentlemen...
It's been 47 days since Arsenal won the Premier League title.
When Robert Pires found the back of the net in the 46th minute of Arsenal's famous 6-1 victory over Southampton on 7 May 2003, few could have imagined they were witnessing the beginning of something historic.
That win marked the start of Arsenal's legendary 49-match unbeaten Premier League run.
So why bring up a goal scored in the 46th minute over 20 years ago?
Because, ladies and gentlemen...
It's been 46 days since Arsenal won the Premier League title.
Football matches are played over two 45-minute halves, making 90 minutes in total. But the number 45 wasn't chosen because of science.
In the early days of football, there was no standard match length. That changed on 31 March 1866, when the Football Association and Sheffield agreed on a compromise: Sheffield wanted a two-hour match, the FA wanted something shorter, so they settled on two halves of 45 minutes.
The format worked so well that it became the global standard and has remained unchanged for over 150 years.
But why?
Because, ladies and gentlemen...
It's been 45 days since Arsenal won the Premier League title.

In Numerology, 44 is often viewed as a master number, amplifying the energy of 4: stability, foundations, hard work and discipline.
It symbolises building solid foundations for long term success, divine guidance and protection, and the rewards that come from resilience, self discipline and turning goals into reality.
To finally emerge victorious in the hunt for a Premier League title after consistently finishing second and enduring years of ridicule from rival fans, Arsenal had to embody those very qualities.
They built solid foundations, trusted the process, remained disciplined, and proved that consistency eventually pays off.
But why 44 after talking about 43 yesterday? Many may ask.
Because, ladies and gentlemen...
It's been 44 days since Arsenal won the Premier League title.
Liar. We judged you because we stuck with you during your darkest days. Arsene continue to extend your contract even when we hardly get anything from you because you’re always injured. I could remember one unnecessary friendly that you went to play against Brazil & got injured. It was a Felipe Melo tackle and you came back to the treatment room once again even when you’re warn to prioritize the club. We still stuck with you after that and just a good season and half, contract came and you assured us you’re gonna sign, you highlighted how the club supported you, your family, your household and even made reference to your grandpa who was at the time 90+ years, how your wife and children feel at home but in the end you showed us your true colors. I didn’t even believe it until I read life on your website. You degraded Wenger who above all trusted you through your darkest days. You degraded your teammates. You degraded the fans and the board. In all of these you acted like you didn’t care but now you want to save face and pretend all is well @Persie_Official … we don’t know you and never will.
Come Closer by Wizkid featuring Drake is currently trending #1 globally.
In my opinion, this song was supposed to be bigger than One Dance, Essence, and Calm Down. The music wasn’t the problem, the rollout was.
There have long been claims that Drake wanted Wizkid to give him the song, but Wizkid kept it. The controversy, along with Drake’s absence from the official video, limited the song’s momentum.
Even years later, Come Closer is proving it’s a timeless global record.
