I am grateful to the United Kingdom and Prime Minister @Keir_Starmer for another decision in support of Ukraine. UK Export Finance will allocate £210 million for the supply of enriched uranium to support Ukraine’s nuclear energy sector, which is the main source of power supply for our people and our economy.

The UK is also introducing a new package of sanctions against Russia, targeting Russia’s shadow fleet and the financial networks the Russian Federation uses to circumvent sanctions. The new British restrictions are being applied for the first time against tankers carrying sanctioned liquefied natural gas, the proceeds from the sale of which Russia is using to finance its war. This is a necessary step, and just as with oil tankers, it is important that there ultimately be the ability not only to stop these shadow fleet vessels, but also to seize them. Thank you!

Last night our armed forces intercepted one of Russia’s sanctioned ships in the Channel as part of the UK’s work cutting off the revenues that fund missiles, drones and the continued bombardment of Ukrainian cities.

These illegal ships exist to move sanctioned Russian oil and gas around the world to keep money flowing into Putin's war machine. We are taking action against this illegal activity in our waters.

Thank you to our armed forces and the NCA for their work to interdict this vessel.

I don’t wanna talk about myself today. I’m very pleased to be in the 2nd round, but all of my thoughts and all my heart goes to the people of Ukraine today. Thank you so much for coming out. I warmly welcome the United Kingdom’s decision to provide a new £500 million package of air defense support for Ukraine. This includes 1,000 Lightweight Multirole Missiles, 1,200 additional air defense missiles, and 200,000 rounds of artillery ammunition.

At a time when Russia continues its attacks on our cities and energy infrastructure, this support truly matters. These systems will help protect families, keep our lights on, and strengthen our ability to defend our skies.

The United Kingdom is also contributing £150 million to the PURL initiative for air defense interceptors. This is an important step that reflects not only military assistance, but strategic commitment.

We deeply value the United Kingdom’s friendship and leadership. The British people have shown unwavering solidarity with Ukraine, and we are sincerely grateful for that partnership. 🇺🇦🇬🇧
