I may sound like a broken record, but I've tracked Mediterranean marine heatwaves every summer since 2022, and each year has brought another severe event, often shattering all-time records. Water temperatures across the region have really just escalated over the last 5 summers.

The marine heatwave in the Mediterranean Sea continues to escalate, with water temperatures now up to 7.4°C (13.3°F) above normal.

Waters off the coast of Italy are now locally exceeding 28.5°C (83.3°F), downright tropical.

This is one of the worst June marine heatwaves on record for the region. Expect increased humidity on land and significant impacts on marine life.

The UK and Ireland face one of the most dangerous setups for severe thunderstorms the region has seen in modern history.

Storms today will be capable of producing hail up to the size of golf balls, potentially even tennis balls, along with damaging winds. The greatest risk of an isolated strong tornado lies over Northern Ireland and southwest Scotland.

This is an exceptionally rare severe weather setup for this part of the planet.

The fact that most British council dog pounds give dogs no exposure and euthanise them after 7 days, when no shelters spaces are available, is a national disgrace and scandal #UK
Most council pounds do not show the dogs they have in their care on social media, often no one knows they exist or that they have been pts.

If a dog was stolen in London and then dumped in Scotland the owner only has 7 days to search every pound in the UK to find him, he can then be 'euthanised'.

Councils say they do not have the space or resources to feed and house dogs or to assess them for re homing. It's a national scandal we are not seeing in the news.

The public needs to know why buying a puppy or breeding from existing pets is a very bad idea. Unscrupulous breeding should be stopped now‼️‼️
