#AllahabadHighCourt dismissed a plea seeking a ban on meat/liquor sale in Mathura & Vrindavan observing that India is a country of great diversity & if one wished to maintain its unity, it was absolutely essential to practice tolerance & respect for all communities.

#SupremeCourt canceled the bail granted to Ashish Mishra, the prime accused in the #lakhimpurkheri violence case after observing that the victims were denied a chance at a fair hearing. Mishra, the son of MoS Home Ajay Mishra Teni, has to surrender within a week.

The international court of justice will shortly deliver it's verdict on Ukraine's plea for protection from Russian aggression.

Russia did not participate in the hearing, while Ukraine said Moscow's claims of genocide were false.

Advocates representing the female Muslim students have indicated that they may move #SupremeCourt today itself to challenge the #KarnatakaHighCourt order upholding the #HijabBan.

It is unlikely the matter will be heard soon since the SC breaks for Holi tom till the weekend.

#SupremeCourt said courts should not pass "value judgments" against a couple in a live-in relationship. SC said if a man is making a gift deed for his partner out of his own free will and exclusively owns the property, it is nobody's concern who he gives it to. @boomlive_in
