@hutchinson i don't think she intended to drive at the officer, but ur analysis is off. she was turning right after having turned all the way left when backing up. turning right only straightened the wheels as the car started moving forward. this was clear on the first video.
@Bricktop_NAFO because state has monopoly on violence? not perfect by any means but sure beats the jungle law for normies. 'normies' exclude police and sadly people like renee good (RIP) or those in the above video.
@Mike_Bostock@GunnelsWarren how exactly does 'recycle' work when virtually all their networth is just a market valuation of their ownership stake in various companies? do you picture piles of cash sitting somewhere ready to be handed out to 'improve life'?
@RickyHale_ do you ever stop and think where his networth actually is? it’s almost all invested in some of the most successful companies in the current economy. unless you're suggesting these are bad investments, you can't liquidate these assets to fund anything. who owns them is irrelevant.
@jakescottMD@FoxNews i wish we got to see ppl like you and rfkj compare receipts in person. he can answer each of your points with what he’s claim is based on. reasonable people can decide for themselves who to believe, most likely a bit of both
@Domsca20x@Mappy6984 not sure if it’s a cause or effect, but in US many drivers have poor lane discipline and often cruise in left lane at same or even lower speed than the right lane traffic. if it were illegal to pass from right lane, then traffic would be bogged down even worse than they are.
@JustinShultz19@joeroganhq it’s a mistake is to view anyone in politics a hero. anyone able to make it in politics is corrupted to some extent. one redeeming quality of trump is so much of media dislike him which means more scrutiny. most pernicious kinds are the ‘well liked’ who can get away with more.
@ewarren agreed and it highlights the incompetence of the congress to allow it to happen. either pass & enforce laws that make his threats to primary you empty or grow a spine & don’t cower just to keep your job.
@Jewtastic@elonmusk doesn’t he only have power if most ppl agree w/ his views? so most ppl are dumb and easily manipulated just b/c he’s rich? if so, what good is democracy?
@karlfrankjr @docMatikos @waitbutwhy he addressed it in a separate thread. when you do choose violence, you expect violence in return. that is option 2.
@FrankGrimeson@waitbutwhy@JustinBonomo the analogy to his statement with your example is if you support violence against someone hurting your kids, you also support it when you are hurting some else’s kids. it’s really just the golden rule - the only moral standard there needs to be.
@JustinBonomo@waitbutwhy that’s b/c you choose to strawman his statements. he addressed your point about revolution perfectly. there’s never universal agreement on exactly when violence is ‘right’. his point is if you choose violence, can’t complain about adversarial violence in return, win or lose.
@RepRoKhanna the fact that you read the headline numbers wrong by orders of magnitude doesn’t instill confidence that govt can do better. profit margin has been ~3% across insurance industry for years. health spending is very high but insurance companies aren’t close to being THE issue.
@AlastairMcA30 i don’t think there’s evidence for a link but you cited 3 studies (?) and then repeatedly claim no link is proven ‘many times’ and ask how many is enough. that’s not how science works. there’s no fixed number for which something in science is ‘proven’ unlike math.
@maddenifico no one likes dealing with insurance companies, but i was surprised to learn their profit margin was ~3% with ~86% of premiums paid out to medical cost & ~11% admin cost. blaming high medical cost solely on insurers seems misguided. https://t.co/PcBGkLyvqX
@dezmondOliver@elonmusk if you represent the majority of remote workers, then govt buildings can be vastly reduced. either way it’s a lot of waste. unsurprising when it comes to govt operations where accountability is by definition lower as somone else (tax payer) is paying the bills.
@joeroganhq rejecting zelensky outright is a missed opportunity to challenge him or your own views of him. even tho you can’t ban him from speaking elsewhere, your platform is so big now it’s akin to censorship by other social media that you rail against.
@Socdem_Michael@a69774 well if you equate saying ‘marching over to the Capitol building to peaceful and patriotically make your voiced heard’ (trump’s exact words) as encouraging the resulting riot, then what’s good for the goose… i don’t like trump but double standards like this helped him win.
@NCaumanns @karenlynchkaren@caroljsroth@BillKristol no easy answers, but a main reason for police state to exist is to protect private ownership which only benefits those who own. so the haves should be paying more than have-nots for maintaining the social order where wealth/income disparities exist, hence progressive taxation.
