@RickyHale_ do you ever stop and think where his networth actually is? it’s almost all invested in some of the most successful companies in the current economy. unless you're suggesting these are bad investments, you can't liquidate these assets to fund anything. who owns them is irrelevant.

@Domsca20x @Mappy6984 not sure if it’s a cause or effect, but in US many drivers have poor lane discipline and often cruise in left lane at same or even lower speed than the right lane traffic. if it were illegal to pass from right lane, then traffic would be bogged down even worse than they are.

@JustinShultz19 @joeroganhq it’s a mistake is to view anyone in politics a hero. anyone able to make it in politics is corrupted to some extent. one redeeming quality of trump is so much of media dislike him which means more scrutiny. most pernicious kinds are the ‘well liked’ who can get away with more.

@RepRoKhanna the fact that you read the headline numbers wrong by orders of magnitude doesn’t instill confidence that govt can do better. profit margin has been ~3% across insurance industry for years. health spending is very high but insurance companies aren’t close to being THE issue.

@dezmondOliver @elonmusk if you represent the majority of remote workers, then govt buildings can be vastly reduced. either way it’s a lot of waste. unsurprising when it comes to govt operations where accountability is by definition lower as somone else (tax payer) is paying the bills.

@Socdem_Michael @a69774 well if you equate saying ‘marching over to the Capitol building to peaceful and patriotically make your voiced heard’ (trump’s exact words) as encouraging the resulting riot, then what’s good for the goose… i don’t like trump but double standards like this helped him win.

@NCaumanns @karenlynchkaren @caroljsroth @BillKristol no easy answers, but a main reason for police state to exist is to protect private ownership which only benefits those who own. so the haves should be paying more than have-nots for maintaining the social order where wealth/income disparities exist, hence progressive taxation.
