We continued this year’s focus on’ inclusive oracy classrooms’ this afternoon with a fantastic workshop on oracy and EAL. An inspiring and empowering session to round off the term for our hub.

Year 4 and 5 have been doing fantastic work with great outcomes around performance in poetry this week. We are really proud of how engaged our pupils have been and how they have developed their presentational oracy.

Our Oracy Hub is back for 2024/25. Over 30 Tower Hamlets primaries collaborating to enrich oracy learning and teaching across the borough!

This year we’re working in teams to ‘turn great talk into great learning’ in a range of subjects including maths, science, art and history!

At Friday’s network meeting we shared practice from across the borough on oracy assemblies and presentational talk.

We also celebrated the completion of two collaborative projects: an oracy progression document and our latest lesson pack, which will be released this week!
