@Shadyrainbow111 Y’all I literally saw a thread of them bitching about the writers saying “there’s no villains” and they’re choosing to write more morally grey characters. Apparently if there’s no objective good and evil, it’s “bad” or “bland” now? Like they’re making shit up atp 😭
@benzobeautyking I’m sorry, why are y’all coming to a Tinashe album and expecting powerhouse vocals? She’s never been that kind of singer. These songs suit her perfectly
@Dragon_Samurai0 This actually is not true and just something the fans theorized. The creators themselves took inspiration from numerous cultures when creating the 4 nations. Hence why their names are “inconsistent” and there s hodgepodge of dif. cultures everywhere. But also… IT’S NOT REAL
@greataether7@Jarnvidr9 At this point I don’t think they care. They very clearly want to continue to explore the world of Avatar, but also want to move on from Aang. It’s been two decades. If people still want Aang, they can just go back and watch it. But they have a new perspective now and new ideas
@maroishimm@KharayKrayKray There’s a literal apocalypse, strange spirit chasing people, two avatars with mysterious origins, how tf ARE there two avatars in the first place, how did the world get like this, what did Korra do… There’s literally a MOUNTAIN of plots going on. Use your eyes
@HylianRailgun I think y’all forget these are STORIES! Aang’s show was our first introduction to the world so showing him learn everything (quickly I might add) was necessary for world building. Now we know the law of the land so we don’t need to be spoon fed anymore. They can move on now
@Jarnvidr9 It’s odd seeing someone trash TLOK when that show objectively had the best fighting scenes overall. And the fighting style in that show was based on MMA fighting and quick punches bc they live in a busy city and can’t afford to make big movements bc of property damage
@greataether7@Jarnvidr9 This is objectively not true, and the rave reviews 7H got only 3 episodes in proves that they can absolutely create lightning in a bottle again. They’re talented story writers. The live action on Netflix is more so nostalgia bait, but that’s also why its numbers are low
People just want the same thing again because they can’t understand why that thing was like that in the first place.
ATLA is the FIRST show, it was completely new to the viewers, so having Aang manually learn each element served to not only expand the world but explain the disciplines and philosophy of the people in the world.
This is why Korra can’t Airbend, because it’s the only culture missing from ATLA. A lot of LoK has to do with Airbending discipline and philosophy. Just like how they dive much deeper into the Spirit World and Spirits.
People just don’t want something new, because new could potentially mean bad, they just want the same thing again and again and again
@Bonsrahh I think the creators have said they don’t want to do the same thing again. Plus if you watched the show (you likely didn’t) they’re still in training in ep 3. They’re still young. But their story is clearly about something else. They’re focusing on spirituality and the mystery
@XrayPC@vanillaanillav@C9456456371126 But like I don’t get what you want from me. You came to me and I said what I said. Y’all are insufferable, and you responded… by being insufferable 😂 Brainlets this, slop that, or whatever else. You don’t like what I have to say. I offended you somehow. Go on somewhere my guy
@XrayPC@vanillaanillav@C9456456371126 I’m not dancing around anything. I’m giving this back and forth like 30% effort lol. Sorry if I don’t address every single little thing
@li_liro_@VengeanceLame “A lot of people are complaining about it” no actually. Just people on Twitter that took a clip out of context and are trying to hop on a trend for engagement. This happens all the time
@li_liro_@VengeanceLame Wait, so because two different scenes serve two different purposes, you don’t like it? Aang’s scene was supposed to show how gifted he was. This scene was merely supposed to prove to Karthic that there are in fact two Avatars.
