Thailand welcomes the announcement of measures taken by the United States against online scam networks in Southeast Asia on 14 October 2025. Such measures fully align with Thailand’s ongoing efforts in working closely with other countries and stakeholders to combat transnational crimes and hold accountable those responsible, particularly online scams and scam centers that affect people within and outside the region and are connected to other serious transnational crimes including human trafficking, forced labour and money laundering.

In this connection, Thailand reaffirms our resolute determination to eliminate online scams and scam centers. We are committed to further enhancing cooperation with the United States, as part of our longstanding security cooperation, as well as other partner countries and relevant international organizations to expeditiously address this serious crime in an effective manner.
