@CalMac_Updates Hello. I live on Mull and was booked on this ferry. I have just arrived in Oban now and checked my phone to see it’s been cancelled. All other ferries are booked up for remainder of day. I need to get home. Any other ferries being put on for residents at all today?
14 years ago today we lost this man.
As we drove to Wrexham last night my daughter asked “Who’s from North Wales?”
I immediately said “Gary Speed.”
She didn’t know who he was.
I said “look him up tomorrow, he was some player.”
Good tribute this.

HONDDU is in FRANCE!!
Science Sunday
This is a photo of Honddu (Blue 6B4) in Chalonnes-sir-Loire, France, last night.
He's been there at least a week and possibly longer, probably two weeks. Chalonnes-sir-Loire is 390 miles away from the Dyfi as the osprey flies.
Today, high above Chew Valley Lake a flying barn door opts to make a very rapid landing and descends at speed.
What a sight as White-tailed Eagle, G717 an immature male, makes a dramatic return to the ground

Incredible day in Donegal Bay, humpack tail slapping ! Huge bait ball with fin whales lunging supported by common Dolphins , Tuna and a huge amount of birds. #donegal
Kathy found our first sea bean in months on the west side of Barra today after a week of strong west winds. This Brown Hamburger Bean has drifted a minimum of 4000 miles from the Caribbean before washing up on the Outer Hebrides.
We are delighted to report that two pairs of White-tailed Eagles have bred successfully in southern England this summer, rearing a total of three chicks at nests in Sussex and Dorset. You can read more on our website: https://t.co/zK6JhnrzYs

A record 3 #WhiteTailedEagle chicks have fledged in the wild in England this summer including the first in Dorset for over 240 years!
The chicks were reared by eagles released by @ForestryEngland & @RoyDennisWF in our project to return this lost species🦅

Orca hunting the shallows just a couple of metres off the shoreline here in Shetland. It really does not get much better than this! An amazing experience for our @shetlandwild group last week.
A very special afternoon following Orca along the North Aberdeenshire coast from Inverallochy to Rosehearty. At Kinnaird Head, they were just 2-3 metres out! All photos taken from shore.
Guess who!
Nice to see the return of the big laddie JC to the Hebrides after disappearing for a while. He’s getting on a bit now so never know when the last time is gonna be. Last sighting of Aquarius was down in Ireland which ain’t that far in a straight line from here.
