I’m at the Resolutions Committee right now
& the South Dakota Republican Party is bringing up a resolution
to censure Senate Majority Leader Thune for not passing the SAVE America Act.
The SAVE America Act would make it (1) easy to vote, and (2) hard to cheat
There is no good reason *not* to pass it
If Democrat senators want to filibuster the SAVE America Act, we should make them work for it
We shouldn’t make filibustering it too easy
Share if you agree
Today, on my final day as Director of National Intelligence, I’m releasing never-before-seen communications and documents exposing how Dr. Fauci provided millions in US taxpayer dollars to fund dangerous gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, worked with politicized elements within the Intelligence Community to suppress the truth about his actions and hide the virus’ lab-leak origins, and lied to Congress while under oath in 2024. It’s time you know the truth.

And if the SAVE act is passed, we can ensure that the American people's voices are heard.
I don't care if they are R/D/I, they NEED to ensure that the ACTUAL will of their constituents are represented. Your continued delay in bringing this to the floor in a talking filibuster fails this representation benchmark.
Please, have the courage to bring it to the floor in a talking filibuster, no need to eliminate it, just for people to defend their positions and vote for their constituents.
NOT a paid post.
There may be current regulations that allow them to write off many of the federal taxes, but they still do pay an outsized portion of payroll, taxes, and generate employment so the over simplified they don’t pay taxes argument isn’t quite true.
And I agree, the government should not be bailing out businesses that are failing (broadly) as that only encourages more risky investments.
I think an additional point that is often missed on loans is the interest that is charged. That effectively becomes the “tax” of the venture. The more risky the bet, often, the higher the rate.
I do agree with some of the above though, Govt bailouts for private deals going badly is overwhelmingly a bad idea in my opinion.
History's first trillionaire is a guy who catches rockets out of the sky with chopsticks and beams internet to every dead zone on the planet.
Same guy ships cars that drive themselves, humanoid robots for the factory floor, brain chips that let paralyzed people move a cursor with pure thought, and an AI running on a supercomputer his team stood up in months instead of years.
And the people crashing out about his net worth are doing it on the app he owns. The same app governments spent years trying to censor.
You cannot legislate a rocket into orbit.
Whom have I parroted? I'd like to see that tweet.
It doesn't require the same names that they were born with, it requires ID that is consistent with valid ID requirements. Changes have to be documented and filed just as with any other legal changes to legal documents.
There are those who exploit people's misunderstanding of current law. The text of ID requirements from the bill are below and are in line with legal documentation requirements.
Glad to discuss it in good faith.
(1) A form of identification issued consistent with the requirements of the REAL ID Act of 2005 that indicates the applicant is a citizen of the United States.
“(2) A valid United States passport.
“(3) The applicant's official United States military identification card, together with a United States military record of service showing that the applicant's place of birth was in the United States.
“(4) A valid government-issued photo identification card issued by a Federal, State or Tribal government showing that the applicant’s place of birth was in the United States.
“(5) A valid government-issued photo identification card issued by a Federal, State or Tribal government other than an identification described in paragraphs (1) through (4), but only if presented together with one or more of the following:
“(A) A certified birth certificate [meeting specific criteria, including full name, date/place of birth, parents' names, seal, etc.].
“(B) An extract from a United States hospital Record of Birth...
“(C) A final adoption decree...
“(D) A Consular Report of Birth Abroad...
“(E) A Naturalization Certificate or Certificate of Citizenship...
“(F) An American Indian Card...”
