YouTube advice for new creators from Your Father Figure
There is a high chance that you are focused on the wrong things at the beginning of your Youtube journey, and that’s why you feel burnt out . Pay attention, I went through the pain so you don’t have to.
Let me explain.
1. Posting every day does NOT guarantee growth.
Daily uploads help if:
•You’re making simple content
•You’re testing ideas fast
•You have time and energy
But for high-effort videos?
You’ll burn out before you blow up.
Consistency > frequency.
If you can only post once a week, but it’s solid? That’s fine.
But I recommend at least 3 in a week if you can.
2. Copying big creators won’t save you.
Yes, study people like MrBeast.
But copying their style, pacing, thumbnails, or personality won’t automatically transfer their results to you.
Why?
Because people don’t subscribe to formats.
They subscribe to voices.
Your tone.
Your thinking.
Your perspective.
That’s what scales long-term.
Remember, copy like an artist if you will dub them.
3. SEO is overrated (at the beginning).
A lot of people obsess over:
•Keywords
•Tags
•Search ranking
But most views don’t even come from search.
I know I posted something about CTR from search and browse features yesterday, they are equally important, but search optimization could take a while, so at the early stage, the browse features to the rescue.
Your early views generally come from:
•Homepage
•Suggested videos
Which means your:
•Idea
•Title
•Thumbnail
Matter more than keyword stuffing.
If the idea is weak, no amount of SEO can save it, you know that, right?
4. Stop worshipping analytics early on.
CTR.
Watch time.
Retention graphs.
They matter, but not in week one. I have seen channels that started with high views and fell off in few weeks, and seen ones that started terribly and soared!
In the beginning, your job is simple:
Learn how to tell better stories, better scripting.
Learn how to communicate clearly.
Learn how to hold attention.
Data refines.
Creativity builds.
Build first. Refine later.
Now follow me, let’s talk about what actually works:
• Make videos YOU would click on. I tell my mentees, if you don’t feel like you have made a banger video, don’t post it.
If you wouldn’t watch it…
Why would strangers?
Be honest with yourself, bro!
• Start simple.
You don’t need:
•Perfect lighting
•Insane editing
•Expensive gear
You need clarity.
A clear idea beats fancy production.
• Use systems.
Templates for:
•Thumbnails
•Editing style
•Hooks
Not to be lazy.
But to save energy for creativity.
You don’t want to “reinvent” every video.
Now the mindset shift most people avoid:
Done > Perfect.
Your first 50 videos are practice.
Not masterpieces. Mr Beast actually said your first 100 videos are your testing phase,
Stop trying to be polished before you’re experienced.
Don’t chase virality.
One viral video can give you numbers.
But it won’t give you:
•Skill
•Identity
•A loyal audience
Success isn’t random spikes.
It’s steady growth.
YouTube is a craft.
Just like coding.
Just like writing.
Just like business.
Just like how you man up and ask a girl out till become a pro and now see you, with 5 side chicks.
You get better by doing.
Not by watching tutorials all day.
Don’t over-research.
Don’t over-plan.
Don’t over-wait.
Start messy.
Stay consistent.
Improve fast.
Growth isn’t magic.
It’s clarity and repetition.
If you’re building right now, focus on skill, not shortcuts.
I like shortcuts, but maybe not when I need a $10k per month system.
Did you learn anything?
Now, say “Thank you, father figure” in the comment and retweet.
@TeamYouTube Last week youtube give me strike saying im explaining how to gain access on paid music or videos, bro im just playing games idk how youtube give me that kind of strike i appeal it but stillr rejected
