Voices from the ground at Jantar Mantar, where protesters gathered amid demands for the resignation and arrest of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

One protester from Delhi’s Okhla constituency says her name has disappeared from the electoral roll despite having lived in the city all her life and says she has been asked to make a new voter ID. Others question the police action at the protest and describe being detained and put into buses without being told where they were being taken.
The protesters argue that they have gathered to defend their right to vote, protest peacefully and demand free and fair elections.

The protest comes amid a wider political controversy over the Election Commission, the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls and demands for CEC Gyanesh Kumar’s resignation.

The message is simple: “Bihar aur UP wale bhaiyon ko bolna chaahunga… I’m back.”

The “Cockroach” identity emerged in 2026 as a satirical youth-protest label and subsequently became associated with protests around examination issues, student grievances and demands for institutional accountability. Recent reporting has documented the continuing activities and public statements of the Cockroach Janata Party/CJP network.

What this particular video establishes is narrower: the speaker is announcing a return and directly addressing people in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. The clip itself does not establish what specific programme or action is intended next.
