I truly believe if you want to make a difference in Bristol & get more people on the buses - more incentives need to be offered. First Bus constantly rise the costs & it’s no wonder people do not want to travel on cramped outdated buses with every road closed on route.
Really disappointed with @WestofEnglandCA & Helen Godwin for the cancellation of the Birthday Bus Pass scheme. The prioritisation of free travel for children when they already travel at a discount price is unfair. Working people are penalised by rising bus costs.
I started my job in July 2023 where it used to cost me £3.60 to get to work on a return ticket. It now costs me £5.20 for two singles. The bus pass scheme saved me £300 in two years. Money that I was able to put towards my living costs.
@GWRHelp - my train to didcot from Bristol Temple Meads is delayed & it’s gonna get in at 10:05 plat 2 and the train I need to get is due at 10:03 plat 3 to go to Oxford. I imagine many people are in a similar situation - can they hold it for 5 mins 😭😭
@FirstBSA I was at Redcliffe Bristol Bridge R9. I got there at 21:23 and did not get on a bus until 22:15. I saw the 39406 YN69 DVV at The Centre C8 at around 21:15 - and within 10 mins it was delayed and then just seemingly disappeared?! Then a 1 turned up only to Temple Meads at 21:50.
@83thann3@FirstBSA@X An accident has happened & 5 bus routes diverting - I think emergency update can be done no matter hours there should be someone to do that. I had to calm down a top deck of adults like I was a school teacher. Just another reason to be unimpressed with first bus Bristol🙄
@FirstBSA I wanted to get the 1 service at 17:20 from Belgrave Road which said it would be 23 minutes late and then disappeared from tracking. So I got a different bus - almost killed myself in the process from running as I have plans to get to - it then passed me at 18:17 on Sandy park
@paulmizen1@char1iewatts@kenborg24 If you type in Bristol public community toilets on the internet it’ll show you on the council website a list of businesses that will allow you to use their toilet without purchasing anything.
Net Zero isn’t a wake up in 2050 & it’s happened moment - it will take work, effort & resources. Disappointing to see the news today at work as I’m looking at carbon reduction principles ☹️
We've signed an open letter alongside 400 other NGOs and businesses, expressing our concerns to @RishiSunak as he announces the UK government's weakening of net zero policies.

Does anyone find that the moment you call someone out on offensive language or comments towards the environment they are so quick to reply oh it’s a joke, relax. Why are we so dismissive that there are people who have educated themselves about the environment & they have a clue!
@bristol_parents No not published as of yet. But was an interesting topic to study! Sorry I meant New Fossway. Unsure with the logistics, as to if would be agreed to? I could be wrong tho 🤷🏼♀️ Would be good to see it however as yes drastic change is needed & especially with senior school there too!
