7am - 9am up Walton Hill with Rob Hemming this morning proved to be a nice little session- no vis-mig action apart from c 20 house-Martin, but a couple of spotted-flycatcher were my first of the year, a brief juv/female Redstart and a lovely tree-pipit perched up nicely
A brief loop of Walton Hill just to stretch my legs - expectations bird-wise always low up there, but still lovely to hear and see singing willow warbler, whitethroats & garden warbler
@andyshawbirds1 Get in!! What a find on your own patch! - makes you forget all those previous bird-less visits๐คฃ - last one I saw at Upton, I found - on my birthday ๐
@craig_round@WestMidBirdClub Hi Craig, way, way back in I reckon 1978/1979, I saw my first ever Dipper in what I assume was a stretch of Lutley Brook - we used to get over there through the Squirrels estate, which was just being built then - fantastic formative birding-adventures ๐
5 hour up & around Brown Clee with young Rob Hemming today - loads of redstarts, a few tree pipit & 2 pied-fly (m&f) - Siskin, redpoll & 3 or 4 red-kite added to the wonderful surroundings
