Friendly reminder that the difference between a partial eclipse and a total eclipse is literally life changing.

It’s hard to tell a partial eclipse is happening at all (visible in shadows or with solar glasses)

A total eclipse is a life-altering experience.

@sentantiq And has generated interest for folks that otherwise wouldn't have ever thought about it. Had a professor that taught a "pop" Freedom in Greece course that had over 300 students (w/waiting list) because the lectures were essentially storytime. And there were some on campus...

@GeorgeWHerbert @mzjacobson Perhaps the economics will bare out using these on shorter flights. The vast majority of regional flights (in the US or in Europe) wouldn't need more than 1500 miles or so. Maybe keep the jet fuel powered models around for the long range routes/etc.
