The level of disrespect leadership have towards GPs is simply stunning

And years of such behaviour, casual throw away comments then cascades into anyone & everyone thinking they can do the “job of a GP”

And the onus of learning from that- and changing that- lies on all of us.

And I do mean “us” as Consultants.

You want to change the narrative, have quality referrals, better care?

You start by ensuring not anyone has a crack at their job- and thereby provide lesser care due to their lack of training, Wild West of regulation and a Dunning-Kruger that fizzes.

Quite simple when you think of that

As regards GP representation from national bodies?

Lesser said the better over the last decade or so.

Colorectal CNS writes to urology in context of previously normal PSA. Urology CNS writes back to ask for PR. Colorectal CNS writes to GP to ask for PR.

@Urodoc46 @DeanEggitt That’s an oversimplification of it. It’s very helpful. But they cost about 5 grand and GP practices aren’t always funded for it. Thankfully in Northern Ireland we are 😊 so derm photo triage works really well here
