Hey @loblaws why does your sign say $3.50 in huge letters, but it rings in at $4.29. How many people don’t check their receipt and wouldn’t notice. Funny how these mistakes are never in the customers’ favour @CompBureau
@bjdobson08@acoyne Well thank goodness lutnick chimed in. At least he isn’t just a grinning complicit monkey that fawns over every word Donald says. Oh wait.
@AdamKinzinger It’s so crazy that trump still can’t figure out that Trudeau is the prime minister, not a governor. His dementia is really showing because that’s just basic stuff. His advisors keep trying to teach him, but his brain is unable to grasp super basic things these days. Sad.
@MayaSoFlya@CrazyVibes_1@amuse The rest of the world doesn’t see it that way - but “do your own research”. Since you hate nazis don’t overlook president Musk’s salutes. Honestly what has changed since Reagan called Russia the evil empire? Americans supporting communism. Never thought I would see the day.
@Carmelabluebell@GooseGanderTalk@allenanalysis Can you post evidence for this? It’s a fringe legal theory that has never been tried. We will see what trump’s handpicked judge say about it.
@anthonyfurey Funny how the big blowhards end up so scared of a bully that they think handing over their lunch money will appease them. When push comes to shove interesting to see who folds.
@Jaserpantz@TorontoStar You are probably right. I’m not unrealistic about it. And I sure don’t want to pay more taxes. But I still think it’s worth at least debating the status quo. If only because so many workers are barely getting by while a select few live better than anyone in history ever has.
@Jaserpantz@TorontoStar These would slow the growth of the billionaire class and hopefully reduce the gulf between those “in power” and everyone else - which I believe would help the average citizen. Taxes are definitely unappealing, but not sure the average Canadian is doing so great withcurrent model
@Jaserpantz@TorontoStar Suggestions - wealth tax, inheritance tax, less favourable treatment of options and trusts, increased tax rates over some crazy high number, greater scrutiny on “business expenses”, institutional investors demanding more justification for pay
