NJ Chapter of Our Revolution building local grassroots power by organizing the community around progressive issues & candidates #M4AllNow#AbolishTheLine
BREAKING NEWS: We are excited to announce that @FrankPallone has joined @PramilaJayapal & @DebDingell as original co-sponsor of the new #MedicareForAll Act of 2021 which is being introduced at 12 pm today! This is a major development and testament to the power of our organizing!
So close to ending the line as we know it 🤏 I’m on county committee since 2018 & remember the first organizing meetings hosted by @ggcnj on how to fix our broken politics & win better ballots. It took this Senate race, but we’re finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel!
We're in Trenton tmw at 9:30a w/ @NJWFP@ggcnj & others to rallying to win #BetterBallotsNJ & #AbolishTheLine! The court will hear oral arguments for the 1st time in Line Lawsuit 2.0 tmw. We could see a decision made to #AbolishTheLine w/in a few weeks!

Today we marched to #EndFossilFuels and to take back our planet from corporate polluters 🌍🌱🌻 Over 75,000 people took to the streets of New York City to pressure @POTUS to declare a climate emergency ✊ A massive demonstration demanding bold #ClimateActionNow!
Back in 2019, @ORMonmouth organized to pass the #safestaffing bill, but the legislation has stalled since. It’s past time that we put #patientsoverprofits & create enforceable hospital staffing guidelines in New Jersey. The nurses & the community won’t stop until we get it done.
We fully support the striking nurses at @RWJBarnabas New Brunswick. They are fighting for their patients while the hospital corporation is hiring scabs & is trying to break the union. Safe staffing saves lives & workers deserve a fair contract! #hotlaborsummer#safestaffingnow
“I’ll spend the goddamn money. I may cut back some tanks. But not health.” —LBJ.
#HBDMedicare! 🥳This essential public program is 58 yrs old today.
More than ever, we need to stand up to greedy insurance companies who delay & deny people care. #ReclaimMedicare#MedicareForAll
It's disappointing to live in a state and country where we're struggling to fund housing, transit, and the fight against climate change while our Senators in Washington refuse to shave even 10% off our massive & always growing war machine budget. @SenatorMenendez@SenBooker
Despite the heavy rain, we had an amazing turnout & community participation today at our AMERICAN HOSPITALS - Healing a Broken System screening. Lots of great discussion + plans for action at the local, state & national levels. Stay tuned! #SinglePayerSunday#MFA#healthequity
In AMERICAN HOSPITALS, Dr. Elisabeth Rosenthal of Kaiser Health News says “In our very messed up hospital system - everyone wants a bad guy. They talk about insurers. They talk about Pharma. But hospitals get off relatively scot-free.” Reserve your seat! 🎞️https://t.co/3dzoseL6yp

There is no greater expression of hatred and hostility towards women than to try to erase our existence as a category of people and to minimize us to being a construction of anyone’s imagination. Such an expression of hatred towards women is now the position of the Democratic Party, and one of the reasons why I could no longer remain in that party.
The zombie bill is back again. Monday @NJSenDems and @njassemblydems will try to pass this awful bill. A few amendments were made, but the terrible core of the this bill remains.
Tell your Reps to vote NO on S2866/A4372: https://t.co/W6kA1vGpaG
Last night, around the corner from one of NJ’s biggest hospitals, in a room full of dedicated organizers, the Neptune Township mayor & council unanimously passed our 16th local #MedicareForAll Resolution! Thank you Mayor Cafferty for championing it, this crew is happy! #MFA ✊
Our 16th #MedicareForAll Resolution! “We must do whatever we can to remove the financial barriers that keep Americans from seeking care. Compassion is the only sensible government response, as a nation can only be as healthy as its people’s hearts & minds.” Mayor Keith Cafferty!
Last night, Ke Huy Quan won an Oscar.
Just a few years ago, in the midst of a deadly pandemic, he lost his health care because he was not working.
Yes, we must end the employer-based, for-profit health care system and finally guarantee health care as a right to all.
We added our support to the calls by the Paterson community to investigate the Paterson Police. We know what @CivilRights will find, if they fulfill their obligation to Paterson and decide to look. #Justice4Najee
