@5Solas Hey finish the quote!!! “For divine Scripture is sufficient above all things; but if a Council be needed on the point, there are the proceedings of the Fathers…”
@KellyPowersBPA This doesn’t mean anything. I’ve been studying Orthodoxy since October, which also happens to be the last time I preached in a church. I could also hold my ground on explaining the E/E distinction.
@Christendom1000@Hleowstede@CoreyJMahler Lol yeah who cares about being faithful to Christ and part of His Church that has been preserved for 2000 years. Hey, your Savior is from the East! Oh no!
@realalexclark Stay in your lane on the health stuff. Stop sympathizing with the Jews. Rabbinic Judaism is vehemently anti-Christ. Your analysis is divorced from the understanding of the Apostles and the early Church Fathers.
@KellyPowersBPA hey Kelly, sincere question here from a former Protestant pastor currently inquiring into Holy Orthodoxy. You claim that we must have the “Berean Perspective” as a defense of Sola Scriptura. How do you reconcile that with the reality that the Bereans most likely used an Old Testament tradition that contains books you reject? Being Greek speaking Jews in Macedonia, they almost certainly would have used the LXX. This was a major domino for me that fell.
Also, how do you reject the doctrine of baptismal regeneration when the father of the reformation, Martin Luther, affirmed it among many other things you reject.
God bless.
