Israel is NOT God's chosen:

The Son of God visited Sarah (Genesis 18:10-14) and fulfilled his promise that she would have a son. Thus, Isaac was conceived based on the word of promise, not on the power of flesh, as they were both well past the time of childbearing.

The children of this promise are counted as Abraham's seed.

"But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now, if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His." Rom 8:9

These children are those who embrace Abraham's faith through the Lord Jesus Christ (Gal 3:16).

Hagar was cast out to show that it is not Abraham's children according to the flesh who are God's children.

His children according to the flesh include the Jews, Ishmaelites, Edomites, and Midianites.

These are not God's children, unless they embrace the faith of Abraham through Christ (Gal 4:22-31)

If the children of God were Abraham's children of the flesh, the six children he had with Keturah would be the children of God.

The jews came from Jacob, renamed Israel. The ishmaelites from Hagar, and the Edomited from Esau.

Abraham sent all of his children with Keturah away from Isaac (who was born according to the word of promise) to emphasize that the children of God are born according to this word.
