The scariest thing about politics in Nigeria is that many in the opposition have only wishes and prayers to prevail, while those in power have desperation, manipulation, and greed.

They will not leave because you "wish" and "pray" for them to do so on their own. You must act.

Jonathan was a gentleman; Buhari was a clueless, sick man; the current guy is cold and calculating. He is not going to be removed because of wishes. Prayers may work, but I don't even think Nigerians are serious about that. Most prayers are still wishes without an action plan.

This may sound funny, but it's quite true. The older you get, the less the impulse to marry to please others.

When you don't care about pleasing others, you are not on the marriage fast track. I almost got married when I was young because people said, "We looked good together."

I eventually got married much later in life because I didn't care what anyone else thought; only the relationship between my wife and me mattered.

There are, however, many advantages to marrying early. You do a lot of things on time, and you have a lot more time to spend together and enjoy life. I was more miserable as a single man, but didn't realize it until I got married.

Attorney Erin Friday says California Child Protective Services can threaten parents who refuse to use their child’s preferred pronouns.

She told me she feared calling the police when her 13 year old daughter ran away because she worried CPS would take her child.
