President Trump on negotiations with Iran: “I mean, the problem with the issue of the Hormuz Straits is this: We've decimated them as a military. No air force, no navy, very few rockets left. We blew up so many. Hard to manufacture them. Same thing with drones. The leadership is gone. The problem with the Straits is this: Let's say we do a great job. We say we got 99%. 1% is unacceptable, because 1% is a missile going into the hull of a ship that cost a billion dollars, right? So 1% is not... If we do a 99% decimation, that's no good. So it's really, you know... I have a feeling it's going to clean up pretty quickly. I could just say this. They want to make -- they want to make -- and I probably hurt our little negotiation. It gives them a little impetus to say, ‘Well, I wish you didn't say that.’ But they said yesterday that we weren't negotiating with them, and now they admit that we were negotiating with them. So they want to make a deal. The reason they want to make a deal is they have been just beat to shit.”

Money quote:
"Donald Trump does not think strategically. Nor does he think historically, geographically, or even rationally. He does not connect actions he takes on one day to events that occur weeks later. He does not think about how his behavior in one place will change the behavior of other people in other places."
"He does not consider the wider implications of his decisions. He does not take responsibility when these decisions go wrong. Instead, he acts on whim and impulse, and when he changes his mind—when he feels new whims and new impulses—he simply lies about whatever he said or did before."

After much reflection, I have decided to resign from my position as Director of the National Counterterrorism Center, effective today.
I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran. Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.
It has been an honor serving under @POTUS and @DNIGabbard and leading the professionals at NCTC.
May God bless America.
Breaking news: European countries including France have opened talks with Tehran seeking to negotiate a deal to guarantee safe passage for their ships through the Strait of Hormuz, according to people briefed on the efforts. https://t.co/2sXcq2GDPt
Here is Sen. Bill Cassidy on the Senate floor in 2021 criticizing Biden when gas was $3.15. Gas prices under trump now are at an average $3.41 per gallon.
Anything to say @SenBillCassidy
Trump is making the same mistake Biden made. Ignoring the feelings of those that put you in power. Unfortunately, its his party that will bear the consequence.

Trump: I read the paragraphs I read very well. Great comprehension. I read everything there is to read. And I said, we can't lose this case, but we can when judges are political
Greenland isn’t optional—it’s the shield over North America. Denmark can’t defend it, and NATO’s “umbrella” is bureaucratic theater. The Arctic’s missile trajectories don’t care about diplomatic niceties. Tariffs are leverage, not punishment. Weak politicians like Rep. Bacon cling to outdated alliances while China and Russia militarize the Arctic.
Thule Air Base is just the start. Full U.S. control secures early-warning systems, rare earth minerals, and dominance in the Northwest Passage. Europe’s protests are irrelevant.
Either America controls Greenland’s 836,000 square miles of strategic real estate, or adversaries do. This isn’t heavy-handed—it’s survival.
