@Hybridathlete I'd care if somebody who is openly doping beat me, even if neither of us are elite athletes. We're competitors, either it's cheating or it isn't. Not feasible to test random hobbyjoggers, but if you're bragging about your drug use online, a DQ is an easy call
@imightbepop The raiders and commanders won three rings over the course of 8-10 years, those aren't dynasties and their overall histories are less impactful than most of the teams in tier three
@JasonFitz1 The 3:45 miler has a better chance of winning olympics/worlds, the 2:02 marathoner is about to be a level below the very best, as crazy as that sounds
@danorlovsky7@PaulHembo Assuming we're talking about your prime and not your current fitness, you're a 6'5 pro athlete who played high school basketball, so you'd do much better than an average person. They'd still win ten games at most
@Tplow15@sociable_weaver It's tricky though. Boston isn't eligible by this criteria, but I'd certainly consider a PR there to be legit. The revel races etc. are a joke, but it's tough to know where to draw the line for someone who isn't breaking any records
@sam_gzstrength@coachhenrymyers Even if you're just comparing it to the other running benchmarks, almost any 5:00 miler or 3:00 marathoner will be under 18:00
@BillyBallskin @swim5599@andrewwoodroffe Much closer to 15 minutes than 16, the WA scoring tables equate 2:29:59 to 15:04. Most people also run closer to their potential in the 5k because you can race it more often and suboptimal pacing is punished less harshly
