@NurTabulaRasa Somalia deserves ballots over bullets, institutions over intimidation, and a future shaped by the voices of its citizens rather than the power of weapons. Ninkii soo joog laga waayo!
When the oil actually starts flowing at scale, Somalia will keep a significantly larger share of the profits. Not the oil companies. Not foreign governments. Somalia.

The real value of Somalia’s oil won’t be measured in barrels, but in schools, roads, jobs, and opportunity.

🚨 **DISINFORMATION ALERT:**
A fabricated LinkedIn screenshot claiming to show former US Ambassador to Somalia Larry André Jr. attacking Somali President HSM’s federalism and critiquing Somaliland has been exposed as
**FAKE**.
The fake profile used a spoofed LinkedIn account to weaponize the retired diplomat’s identity and stir up political division in the Horn of Africa. UT Austin’s LBJ School and Ambassador André have officially confirmed he never authored this statement.
Don't let altered screenshots drive the narrative. Verify before you share! 🛑 #Somalia #FactCheck
@MPDrAbib Look, you can call me names all day when you’re off your meds, but that won’t change the facts. You can manufacture lies from morning to night, but they still won’t stick, just as they haven’t over the last four years.
It’s quite funny that you’re now asking the CORRUPT-IN-CHIEF to help you. Weren’t you the same person who repeatedly claimed that the World Bank is a corrupt institution? Have you changed your position again?
At some point, consistency matters. Take a break, brother. You seem more interested in chasing narratives than seeking the facts.
If I were you, I would have deleted my X account.

Asc brother Abukar. Let’s think rationally.
If a Somali ambassador to any country is invited to attend an event, he does not control, nor does he have the authority to decide, who else is invited to attend. This particular event was organized by Kenya, not Israel.
Attending or speaking at an event where the Israeli ambassador is also present is not a crime, nor does it imply endorsement of the Israeli government or its policies. If we apply that logic consistently, Somalia should also refuse to participate in meetings of the UNSC or other international forums where Israeli representatives are present. That is simply not how diplomacy works.
As for claims that this event was designed to undermine Somalia’s position, that requires evidence, not assumptions. Political disagreements should be debated on facts, not speculation. Attending an agricultural or trade-related event alongside representatives from other countries does not automatically constitute a diplomatic scandal.
We should distinguish between diplomatic protocol, national policy & personal political interpretations. Conflating the three only creates confusion.

My brother. You & I are both ordinary citizens, and neither of us sits at the decision-making table. I am 100% certain the FGS is not sitting idle.
You’re entitled to your doubts, but you should also understand that not every response is broadcast publicly. No state reveals every strategy, discussion, or contingency plan to satisfy public curiosity. Silence does not equal inaction. You can read between the lines!!
The point is not why Hargeysa is opening an office. The point is that Somaliland is not a sovereign state, and that is the reality recognized internationally. Opening an office in one of the holiest places on earth only highlights the lack of moral and political judgment behind the move aside from bootlicking the genocidal state of Zionist.
Again, Your argument does not make sense because nobody is debating which city or location Somaliland should open an office in. The issue is legitimacy, sovereignty, and respect for internationally recognized borders.
As for your question about what successive FGS have done, diplomacy and international coordination are part of statecraft. Countries issue condemnations, build alliances, lobby allies, challenge illegal agreements & reinforce their territorial integrity through political, legal, and diplomatic means. That is how international disputes are handled.
Pretending that every response must be military or “actionable” to matter ignores how global politics actually works. Enjoy the cookout!
I don’t disagree with your broad descriptive statement. Fair to assume we both understand that much. My point is these run of the mill statements aren’t actionable. The idea that we are debating which location should SL embassy be is foreign. What have successive administrations done to address this national priority? Wait and condemn?
You are missing the point entirely. Diplomatic condemnations like this are common practice & that is precisely why international alliances & organizations exist in the first place.
As far as the FGS is concerned, the world recognizes Somalia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, not a separate entity called Somaliland. Britain colonized the northeastern & northwestern territories of Somalia under what was known as British Somaliland, consisting of multiple clans & communities, not an independent sovereign country. Even the former colonial power understands that unilateral claims by one clan or region do not automatically create statehood under international law.
The FGS issuing joint statements with allies is not “reactionary.” It is standard diplomacy & a reflection of international consensus on Somalia’s territorial unity.
Trying to frame Somaliland’s outreach to Israel as some kind of moral or strategic victory also ignores the broader reality. Palestine’s position, supported by much of the Muslim world, is based on a negotiated two-state solution recognized through international agreements & UN frameworks. That situation is completely different from attempting to compare it to unilateral secession claims inside a sovereign African state.
Self-determination cannot be selectively applied while ignoring history, international law, AU principles, and Somalia’s recognized borders. EID MUBARAK.
