Almost 52, no athletic background - the only thing I did for my abs and vascularity was to lose 6 kg from a skinny-fat frame with a sensible diet. Other than that I started doing some HIT resistance training in November 2025 to maintain lean mass (pic is from January). I never lifted before, I’m just an average dude who’s been generally active (walking and cycling) and who used to do martial arts in his 20s and 30s (started taekwondo again early 2025). I wouldn’t even know where to get TRT or PEDs and since my dad passed away at the age of 41, I have no clue whether anything visible in this photo is due to genetics.
@Oh_Cee_Dee And he’s also shown some interest in strength training. So we’ll see how things unfold over the next couple of months and - hopefully - years!
Not that anyone cares, but I decided to stop simply reposting stuff that speaks to me - from now on I’ll only do so when I have something meaningful to say and add to the (re)post 😊
@GuruAnaerobic Happy birthday! We just came back from a 13 km walk in the dunes and adjoining forest, in your honour ;) have a great day with your loved ones!
@stevemagness Running is a ‘side quest’ for me - I do it to complement my other activities. Nevertheless I’d like to get to a 20/25-minute 5K and Grok recently suggested adding strides 👍🏻
Composition with cringey fifty-something dad suspended in annun sogi between two French sequoias, reluctantly photographed by his twelve-year old son 😄
Casually hanging out in a French tree with a sheer 5-meter drop below me wasn’t what I expected to do today but I loved every second of climbing up there 😄 the perks of Geocaching I guess!
‘May holiday’ - a Dutch school holiday - with my wife and son in France. Camping literally in someone’s garden on a hilltop, surrounded by nothing but nature, cows, birds and crickets. A camping site with just seven huge pitches, a shed filled with books and games, and nothing else. While eating meat of course. Bliss 💚
