Throwback to this illustration that I did depicting a vexillation of Legio II Augusta participating in the rite of Suovetarilia, during the High Principate.
The legionaries in the painting are wearing a mix of Corbridge and Newstead type Lorica Segmentata, with a few wearing mail and scale armor as well.
Excited to be able to post the latest illustration I did for @ancientwarfare issue 107! Many of you were following me through the entire process and I wanted to show the final piece, a few detail shots and of course, the statue of the man himself, Germanicus.
We cannot consider #AI to be morally neutral. In reality, every technical tool embodies choices and priorities through what it measures, ignores, and optimizes, and how it classifies people and situations. Ethical discernment cannot be limited to asking whether we are using a system for good or bad purposes. It must also examine how that system is designed and what vision of the human person and society is embedded in the data and models that guide it. #MagnificaHumanitas
