Я Даша, из Уфы. В 2020 году приехала в отпуск на 2 недели в Австралию, но не смогла вернуться. Пытаюсь устроиться тут.

I guess we have post-modern computing now

[Arthur @osteotek]

@abdullin Interesting. I can't picture Apple releasing drivers for Linux, though, wonder how that will play out

[Arthur @osteotek]

@abdullin Ah, good. But still, I cannot support Apple in their efforts to lockdown everything and limit how I can use my computers

[Arthur @osteotek]

@abdullin Technically it could, of course. But Apple already confirmed that due to locked bootloader no third-party OSes will be possible to install. Also it's not clear yet if even VMs will be possible

[Arthur @osteotek]

@abdullin No linux allowed on ARM macs == no buy from me. But yes, some innovation in general computing is long due

[Patrick Wardle @patrickwardle]

This is true 😭

Previously, a comprehensive macOS firewall could be implemented via a Network Kernel Extension (kext)

Apple deprecated kexts, giving us Network Extensions....but apparently (many of) their apps / daemons bypass this filtering mechanism.

Are we ok with this!?

[Arthur @osteotek]

So with locked bootloader you will need a jailbreak to run linux on arm macbooks? Can you even call that a computer? It's basically glorified ipad with macos running

[Arthur @osteotek]

Chrome has a new feature called Tab Groups and it's a game changer for tab hoarder like me

@cranik Нужен джейлбрейк, правда. Больше информации здесь — https://t.co/iICkgnXrYN

[Arthur @osteotek]

@posobin Love ampie! But it constantly takes like 3-10 % of CPU time, running in background (and 150MB of RAM). Is that normal? (I understand this might be beta stage)

[Arthur @osteotek]

@pomodoneapp starting and stopping timers from your Chrome extension does not sync with time logs neither in web app or desktop app. I configured it with API key from settings. Am I doing something wrong or this feature is broken?

[Arthur @osteotek]

@dosdude1 Thanks, that actually led me to interesting YouTube videos. Might be able to ressurect this after all

[Arthur @osteotek]

@dosdude1 I have on my hands MBP 2012 Retina with failed Nvidia chip, screen does not turn on at all. Any ideas how to bypass discrete gpu?
