@littleWanic@OrgCommChat I think that technological advancements in the workplace will be both beneficial and harmful to the job industry in the future. Technology helps with efficiency but it also takes away job opportunities from real people.
@mattie_dukes17 I think my favorite reason organizations should keep technology in the workplace is for organization. Computers allow companies to keep stuff in order and keep track of things all in one place.
@OrgCommChat I think my strength stems from the fact that I am good at communicating with others. I am a great listener and always love to hear what others have to say. Therefore, I could handle the conflict that may arise with differing opinions and help find a solution that benefits all.
This article discusses the different characteristics that ultimately make someone a more impactful leader. Think about the leaders in your life. Have they demonstrated any of these qualities? If so, which one (or ones) and how? #COMM11A https://t.co/NthXaK63qy
@JanysekHailey Same, Hailey! When I think of leaders who have had a big impact on my life they have always displayed creation of a clear meaning and purpose as well as authentically caring.
@OrgCommChat I think the key aspects of my personal brand include honesty, respect, and loyalty. I think these are all attributes that only enhance our relationships with other people. I love hanging out with friends and family and these attributes help me maintain these friendships.
Chapter 9 #COMM11A According to our text, difference is defined as “a social construction ‘that has been used to classify human beings into separate value based categories’”. https://t.co/fqOxU7LddK
@Cpetlansky Great Example, Cherish! Multiple employers tend to view young people as less capable because they may have less experience. This only increases the bigger the age gap between you and your coworkers is. I am glad you proved her wrong!
@KatherineBruck9 Hi Katherine, I think this a great example! Making sure schools include holidays for more religions is extremely important. It isn’t fair that people who practice other faiths than Christianity have to miss classes on important holidays!
@OrgCommChat After college, I would like to find a job in interior design. According to the data, this industry is 84 percent women. I think this really shows how female dominated this particular industry is.
@GraceGraubart@OrgCommChat I would say the movie Legally Blonde touches on the glass ceiling phenomena. The men do not take Elle seriously and many of them do not believe she has what it takes to be successful. Ultimately, she ends up proving them wrong and by that she breaks through this “glass ceiling”.
@JanysekHailey I think this proclamation will help lessen the economic, social, and cultural gaps between men and women. The current situation is extremely unfair. Women should not be payed less simply because they are women. I think this proclamation is a step in the right direction.
@joshkrat1999 I think hegemony can be a positive principal to a certain extent. One country with too much over another can definitely set up for a somewhat dangerous/toxic situation
